And of course hole number 1 round 1 a big yellow slope 1 square from the hole. Not a fan of this course and slow greens. But. What can ya do. Not in my wheel house I don't recall any yellow slopes near any pins in all 4 rounds, in fact these are some of the most mild greens I can remember playing in an event.

I hated those greens. Too many invisible breaks. The yellow was only on the first hole in round one. But I’m not a fan of IRL courses. They are made for real golf and not virtual golf. Of course a +3 could have something go do with it 😉

Yeah,it's an hard one. Long par 4s,at least 3 par5s not reachable in two shots with this wind,2 long par 3s. Bunkers cleverly placed in fairway almost always..but for some reason (i don't know why,if you ask me) it's not the kind of course that i love, but i like the fact that is an hard one. I mean..it's to select some guy for play a major. It's fine that is hard. For the start of my "career",two pretty though rcr. Not bad at all. I like it. And i have still to decide if to use pro or master clubs for this one. My idea was to play with pro clubs just to learn how everything works, and above all i perfectly know that for sure i'm still not strong enough to qualify for a major (or to avoid a demotion mark, more probably ) but anyway i wish to "honor" the event playing it with the master clubs. Well..i'll try with some practice round and i'll decide. Good luck to everyone.

I like the course much better now after a -7 in round 2 WEIRD HOW THAT HAPPENS. :-) I'm more aware of the water this round. I do like the 187 greens in this round, actually made the greens easier I think. Less break.
+3 to a -7 Mr. Consistency

For some reason (probably cause i played mainly with the fast greens from the start) me too have much more problems when i have to play on greens with medium or (and my first time was an endless nightmare) slow speed. My math don't work with slow speeds but is something i'll try to fix, soon or later.

Math? Putting? I go by look and feel. The big difference for me is how much more break there is on slow (160s) greens. Throws me off for a few holes. 170s are the hardest greens to master.
I've righted the ship after a nightmare first round. That wind crushed me. It's a love hate thing. I love the challenge - hate the results LOL

I find it easier to move up the leaderboard. I’m not the kind of player that can go out and put up 4 rounds of 10 under, but I can navigate the wind and slick greens better than a lot of players it seems. Of course I say that coming of R2 in which I completely failed at taking advantage of very firm and fast greens.

-38 total for the week which i hope is enough. 59 in round 3 was my best ever round at this game in practice or competition - previous best was a 61 a few months ago. Played poorly in Round 4 last night but scraped a -7 with birdies on 17 and 18. Couldnt get anything to drop and there was a stupid bogey thrown in for good measure. Would absolutely love to qualify for a Major and looks like i have a chance but waiting for 2 xbox/PC players to appear from nowhere and break my heart.
If the unthinkable happens and this plodder gets to a Major, is there any possibility a good performance (ie making the cut or a top 25 etc) would get me a PGA Tour card? Or is it a one-off week with the kings of the game and then back to my regular tour?

Good sunday to everybody guys.. I have two not too smart questions : 1) all the players that played just 1 or 3 rounds of a tournament, they will be considered as if they wd?(i'm sadly interested to this thing, cause i have 24 players above me in the scoreboard that seems they misses to finish their rounds,if they will be considered wd,i could avoid my well deserved demotion mark! ) 2) can i change my name? Not the name i use in game or steam,i mean just the name that appears on the site and the scoreboard (i know that is silly, but i wish to put an "(R)" besides my surname. Cause i'm a rookie and i like it! It cause some problem? And if it's possible to do so, can i leave the space between my surname and that (R)? Edit : and,by the way, great score, joebloggs !! Really impressive! A very well deserved PGA Championship card. Good luck with that son of a...beach of the Black course. It is a tough one. Maybe one of the toughest real courses we have. Cheers!

Looks like it is CCB for me from now on so thanks all, enjoyed it and you might be seeing me back with my tail between my legs in 5 weeks!

Yes,they are considered as wd and take two demotion marks (that is a right penalty, thinking on the whole thing) Thanks for the help!
