Looking at CCC and CCB big difference. In CCB it’s really segregated. LOTS of red marks on the bottom and Lots of green on top. In CCC the marks are all spread over with many more players with no marks. Interesting What's also interesting is that across every flight of the Challenge Circuit (both Pro and Am), only 3 people currently in CC that also participated in a CC event last week have 4 promotion marks (one in CC-B, CC-F and CC-G). This is admittedly somewhat misleading since we're only in week 5 of the season. But considering the number of people with 4 demotion marks you can see just how easier/quicker someone can move down rather than up, which is probably mostly a result of the fact you can earn two demotion marks in one week but not two promotion marks. I'm interested in seeing what the tour sizes transform into leading up to the second promotion event and whether we start to see a pooling effect develop in the CC-Am flights due to demotions far outnumbering promotions.

Did not think about that. They should change this to 2 promo marks for Top 10. But I’m sure they have spread sheets with what if in them

Nice to see I"m sitting in a log jam for 4th place heading into the round 4 scores. I started round 4 but have not yet finished. I think i was about -3 heading into the turn but had to stop for the day the other day. May wait and wrap up on Saturday to see what I need to get to in order to hold on to my top 10 standing and try to grab that second promotion mark of the season.

That round 3 was fun, interesting conditions to play in - made for some ridiculous club selections if you were hitting into the wind. Managed -5 for the round which puts me -11 so far, given I had a horrid even par round 1 I'll take that. Kind of frustrated with my third round as I had 3 dumb bogies (including missing a 2 foot par putt somehow) otherwise could have been pushing for mid 40's on the scorecard.
Looks like better conditions for round 4 so hopefully a strong finish.

Well now, after being promoted from CC-F to CC-C through the promotion event, I've had an interesting debut here. I started off solidly with two -8s for the first two rounds. Round 3 was a challenge - as a former F-er I am not used to these kind of winds, but I was pretty pleased to score a -4, leaving me in 13th spot at -20. And then... I collapsed! A poor -1 in the final round, which is likely to drop me down the leaderboard at the end of the tournament. Ah well, at least I did not make a fool of myself... I think. ;-)
Best wishes, Frans

Did not think about that. They should change this to 2 promo marks for Top 10. But I’m sure they have spread sheets with what if in them That was my opinion too at first. But then I looked at every tournament on each flight of CC-Pro and noticed that not every tournament had 180+ players finish, which is where the 2 demo marks come into play. So if they did start giving out 2 promo marks to the top 5 or 10, it would be a little lopsided the other way because you'd have some weeks where only 2 promo marks are given out and no one gets 2 demo marks because the event didn't finish with at least 180 people. You'd almost have to do a one-for-one thing where if, say, 183 finish the tournament 1-3 get 2 promos (not including the winner) and 180-183 get 2 demos. or if 190 finished it would 1-10 and 180-190. That took me a lot longer to type out than it should have because I kept confusing myself.

Well, when you've got a demotion mark it doesn't matter if you finish 2nd or 99th, it's the same result! Mission accomplished for me, and probably my best finish yet this season I hope you don't treat your women like this Timbr0_T! Joins us, smashes the place up and leaves! Emphatic win, well played

x2, -2's for rounds 3 & 4 totaling 16 under for the event... Disappointing, especially round 3 in the high winds as I had scrambled my way to 3 birdies without error before getting wet off the 18th tee & missing an easy putt for par. Tied with Celtic Wolf (Pat) for the banter rights in our group after a fantastic final round from him - well played mate.

Don't want to be the bearer of bad news but Jamie has the bragging rights after finishing -18.

Hey guys. Want a fun HARD course. ? I played Devils Ridge yesterday. 250 drops. 407 yards drives. Took a 10 on a hole. A real learning experience but really fun but don’t take your score seriously. Has an 83 for a slope rating.

Okay, so today is the start of my second week here in CC-C. Last week I played okay but collapsed in round 4. This week looks to be a busy week at work so I decided to play all four of my rounds today. And... after a decent start and mediocre second and third - conditions were easy so should allow for some low scores - this time my fourth was my best round: -6, -7, -7, -11 Ten shots better than last week and even though conditions and course were much easier, I am still pretty proud of that! :-)
Best wishes, Frans

I’m going to use Pro Clubs this week there is absolutely no incentive to use master clubs in CC divisions

Just wanted to thank everybody for the kind words about Old Gobhar Farms, and although the winds were a bit heavy (if not absolutely brutal in round 3), Terry Grayson and I hope you enjoyed the course as much as possible. Thank you to the schedulers for allowing us to host!
