After the first round our rivalry group are all quite close together, Simon is still going through his pre round ritual and has yet to tee off. Out in front is Jamie on -5 even after a horrible double bogey on the 2nd. A shot behind we have Justin who is feeling refreshed after his week off, although course owners have asked him to keep his shots away from the animals. Speaking of animals, Pat has been unsettled by the goat's stares as he made his way around his -3 round. Les has shown some resilience as he fought back from being +4 after 5 to finish -1 which included an eagle on the last.
There's reports of high winds in round 3 so a cool head could fly up the leaderboard as a storm blows through, good luck guys.

I’m now sat at -3 under after three rounds shot a 73 +1 for my third round in those high winds quite happy with that going to wait until late to play my last round. Edit: I had a few tempo issues as well more so with the irons but it is what it is.

Looking at the hole-by-hole stats for Rd 1 shows nearly all the most difficult holes are on the front 9. What's up with that guys? Winds high or is everyone just a little drowsy out there? I found the front 9 harder than the back. There's also 3 par 5's and a short par 4 down the stretch which helps the scoring.

Lol, and then Timbr0_T then goes and reels off a 28 on the front 9 in round one! Just passing through Ben?

5 under & 7 under for a total of -12 through 36... happy with that going into the reported gale forced 3rd round. Great course - tough off the tee in more than a handful of spots but scoring chances a plenty if you make greens in regulation. Hole 2 has some kind of curse on me & I've bogeyed it both times so far so pistols at dawn Saturday morning it is Farmer Gobhar!!

I think I birdied it in the next two though Oddly the only round I played the front 9 well in was in the hurricane! And obviously that was the one where I had a poor back 9.

I actually had the most trouble with hole #1. I think I went Bogey, Double Bogey, Bogey, Par on it. Didn't have too much trouble with hole 2.

Nothing but 2 birdies on #1 so far. I’m proud to be the highest ranking CC player that had a 70 in the first round LOL. 63 in round 2. -11 so far

Lol, and then Timbr0_T then goes and reels off a 28 on the front 9 in round one! Just passing through Ben? Hey Jamie, yeah doing my best to make up lost ground but so many good players in every rank and tough to move up! Interesting to see how things panned out after Q-School. I was eager to get back into the fold and played Q-school late (wk 2 I think) just after getting back from a month away in Peru. On hindsight, should've waited a few more days before giving it a go. Thought the course surroundings were stunning with very impressive attention to detail. Really enjoyed the layout except maybe some of the shallow greens, like the drivable par 4. Some nice opportunities to work the ball into the tucked pins that paid off... mostly just luck on some slow downswing approaches with the ball feeding back toward to the hole. Loved the front 9, 11/10... back 9 killed me, yeesh those were the first grown-up par 5's we've played this season. Put 2 or 3 in the water on 10/13. On PS, there were a couple double-digit under par rounds in rd 3 (maybe even a sub-60 round)? Drawing a blank as to who they were by, but that is amazing work in those hurricane conditions. All said and done ended up -44 for the week (62-61-63-58). A couple ahead of me on PS so there will be a lot of leaderboard refreshing this weekend! Good luck all.

Just finished up my first round, and was probably worst round I ever played. +4 after first 3 holes, including hitting the water on the first hole managed to birdie the next 3 then double bogie the 7th and ended up +3 after front 9 - clawed it back to even par on the back 9 (missed an eagle putt on 18) so at least I managed to that. Looks like next 3 rounds I'll be playing catch up just to not lose any of my promotion marks.
Feels like I've just lost all my tempo, mainly on the downswing every seems fast now and if I try to slow it down it just ends up slow/very slow. Rather frustrating.

Pretty "easy" wind in Round #3. I call it a good wind as it was almost always left to right or right to left. Once you have a few holes in you understand it and can deal with it. Not saying it's not hard but there have been much worse winds that I have played.

After the 2nd round Simon is leading our rivalry on -12, by bettering his 1st round by 2 shots. There is a 4 shot gap to Jamie who seemed to have an up and down front 9 before keeping his calm on the back to shoot 69. One shot behind Jamie is Pat who shot 68 to keep him in the middle of our group. Next up is Les who has switched his game around from the first round by performing better on the front than the back and is sitting at -4. At -2 is Justin who had trouble with the par 5's in round 2, who will be itching to get back out and rectify his previous errors.

Looking at CCC and CCB big difference. In CCB it’s really segregated. LOTS of red marks on the bottom and Lots of green on top. In CCC the marks are all spread over with many more players with no marks. Interesting
