I have no problem with the course. I'm currently 10th on the leaderboard, thank you. My complaint is why we bother testing courses for tier suitability at all? Why not just throw everybody to the wolves and let the chips fall where they may? Because apparently there is no such thing as a CC-AM level course. And that's fine. But please, let's not pretend that the schedulers and rangers go out there week after week making sure that each tier has the "proper" playing experience because some of the courses we've had to play that's clearly laughable. As far as I'm concerned, give us all World level courses. For one thing, that will give us more courses to choose from as I've been told (unless I've been lied to) that picking courses for CC-AM is difficult because there aren't that many "suitable" for CC-AM. Well, this solves that problem. Just make sure there are no illegal pins and the hell with course difficulty. Like it's been said, we're all trying to improve anyway and that's not happening if we're playing Little Brook Manor. So seriously, bring on The Beast and let's play some REAL golf. And thank you, but I'm declining the moderators job. For a few weeks, finding new courses suitable for CC-Am was a problem. We solved for that by choosing courses used on other tours that yielded the lowest scores. One of those was The Club at Ravenswood. Lots of people complained that it was too challenging, but the scores on CC-Am that week ended up lower than the average across all flights. Courses on CC-Am usually have one aspect that is particularly challenging, whether it's length, green slopes, narrow fairways, elevation changes, sidehill lies, fast greens, or whatever. Dan and I play every single course we schedule for both CC-Pro and CC-Am, and we ask our rangers to give feedback about the difficulty. While the rangers vary widely in their ability, usually, CC players prefer to test out the courses proposed for CC. This course, in particular was rangered from the White Tees exclusively by CC players ranging from CC-A to CC-D. Despite featuring two areas of challenge (approach length, green slopes), the consensus was that the course from the White Tees was more suitable for CC-Am. So we scheduled this course from the White Tees for CC-Am and moved CC-Pro back a tee. J.W. Golf Trail - Lake Tahoe, CA is fairly flat with wide fairways and generally easy recovery options. The defenses of the course are approach length and green slopes. There is nothing that CC-Am players cannot handle.

Well, I'm glad this week is over. 13 under finish. Not horrible but nothing to write home about, not that I care about moving up because I'm perfectly content down here.
Bring on the next monstrosity.

Admin...Mods Was the discussion really so bad you had to delete posts? I thought it was pretty tame considering I was involved. I know I've been gone for about 2 years but those that know me, know I can stir up quite the brouhaha. I'm a changed man.

Same as Patrick, I have not deleted a single post, other than my own (which had nothing to do with this).

Second round 68(-4) for -5 so far. Improvement but not enough to make my exemption stick, I fear. CC-E is calling me like a Siren.

Poor final round of 73 leaves me at -1 for the tournament. Don't think its good enough for a strike clear so will end up in CC-Z. I have developed a very frustrating pull on anything higher than a 5 iron which is costing my on approaches. Throw in some 3 putts for good measure :/ Frustrating as the one week I cracked the top 100 was the week strikes weren't cleared!

A decent couple of rounds to finish off, and perhaps even a chance to stick in CC-D. -15 might just scrape it. Those last two rounds I just smashed the cone right down the middle, the zone is a nice place to be, I'm told.

-8 for the tourney will keep me down in E. I am fine with that. The double jump to D was a little early I think. I would like to consistently compete in E for awhile before trying to move up.
I don't think my game is there yet.
Ready for the major next week!
