-3 for round 3. Really some stupid bogies but a long eagle putt on the 17th has hopefully given me a shot at a strike clear. Pretty happy with my r3 some good par saves after poor approaches and only really 3 bad putts costing me shots. Hoping for a bogey free R4 to give me a chance of staying in the CC-E.

well i had my best round using Tour Clubs shot -6 1st round then to me a mind boggling -13 on the 2nd had a bit of luck pitching in for 2 eagles on the 4th & 5th and just missed getting my 1st hole in one by inches on the 15th where i shot a double bogey 1st round so -19 after 2 most probably go all to cock now forgot to say on CC-D

So this isn't a major. Interesting. 500 yard par 4s, narrow and split fairways and very difficult greens. Yep, might as well let us CC-AM guys play The Beast. Can't be any worse than this.

Loved the course, it's quite the beast. I caught myself a few times making silly, aggressive decisions only to come away with par or a bogey on what would otherwise be a birdie hole. Played a little better the last few rounds as I learned to lay back and take full swing approach shots, otherwise those greens will eat you alive. I thought it was fantastic on my first play through, but a four round tourney gave me new appreciation for how well thought out everything was. Excellent work.
Oh, and I'm sitting at -17 for four rounds (CC-D). Nowhere near winning, but I think I might be safe from strikes, so we'll see.

I'll tell ya the front nine on this course is brutal for me, was -1 after 5 then +6 on the next 4. I tried to hit the green on 6 but the ball bounced once on the green once on the apron then into the drink. Some good swings but chips were mysteries, anyhooo +3 after one, thanks to an eagle on 17 approach with 3H left 5' to the pin. No easy putts on this course. R2 tomorrow.

(Cross posted from the CC-Pro discussion)
I’d like to say the majority of us appreciate the efforts of the mods, who bring us the opportunity to play competitive golf every single week without asking anything of us.
Set aside the complaints and show some gratitude. This is simply the finest run global sporting community out there, at absolutely no cost to you.
In other news, this hack (I am the original bad golfer, after all), posted -29 for the event. It was tough but fair, and worth every bit of effort I put into it. Try practicing more than once and you’ll soon find that the course will yield scores.
Cheers! 🍻

I thought it was fantastic on my first play through, but a four round tourney gave me new appreciation for how well thought out everything was. This, especially the bold part. Believe me, I have been laying back or I wouldn't be 11 under after 3 rounds. There have been par 4s off the tee of 400 yards or more where I had to go all the way down to a 5 iron. One par 4 of about 275 yards I had to club down so much that my approach shot was still over 100 yards. Correct me if I'm wrong, for those saying we all play the same course so what does it matter. Supposedly, we have an evaluation process so that the schedulers pick courses appropriate for the tier you're playing. I mean you wouldn't have the guys in the World Tour playing Little Brook Manor. They'd be bored to tears. But yet somehow it seems that this same "rule" doesn't apply to the guys in CC-AM who struggle just to keep the ball on the fairway. So if that's the case, seriously, why not just have us play "The Beast?" We'd all be playing the same course, right? Works both ways guys. If you wanna use the "We're all playing the same course" argument, I say screw it. Let's go find the hardest courses out there and give these guys a challenge every week. If nothing else, that'll REALLY get them ready for the upper tiers. Otherwise, why are we bothering to have any kind of course evaluation at all? This isn't even close to a CC-AM course. So let's throw the rules out the window and have some real fun. It'll certainly separate the men from the boys.

Honestly felt that this course would be too easy for CC-Pro, so I don’t see what makes it so hard. And yes, we are all playing the same course, is there ANY legit counter argument to that? No, there isn’t. So grow a pair, it’s just a game.

One par 4 of about 275 yards I had to club down so much that my approach shot was still over 100 yards. Let's be truthful here - you didn't have to do any such thing. You could have driven it and chipped from off the green. You could have driven it right onto the green. You could have putted it all the way from the tee if you'd wanted to. There are countless ways to get there, the question is: Did you choose the best way? Well, did you? If you didn't then you have yourself to blame. If you did, then what are you complaining about?

So let's throw the rules out the window and have some real fun. It'll certainly separate the men from the boys. There is nothing on this course that players in CC-Am cannot handle. You may not like that there are an abundance of long approaches and holes where laying up is the best option, but this course has fairways of ample width and greens of ample size, while avoiding areas where recovery is overly difficult and where quality shots are rejected. You guys just played scampi's Cyprus course which is fairly short, has wide fairways and soft and slow greens. That was the course where you can fire at every flag and try to make birdie or eagle on every hole. This week is a little bit different where patience pays off. There are players whose games thrive on a course like this.
