Hey mate, Happy New Year to you too and thanks for following! I would estimate that I'm 95% done with the actual course itself, just tidying up the sculpting and cleaning things up as I journey around the perimeter of the course adding tree cover and landscaping some of the home with prominent views from the course. I have a bit more exterior planting around the driving range and still have to deck out the clubhouse, but otherwise I'm in pretty good shape and it really is looking like a finished course now.
I also have to multi-pin and then some playtesting to nail down green speed/firmness. I like the action on the greens at 170's speed, although some of the more severe downhill slopes can't always be held but that's what happens IRL if you leave yourself on the wrong green tier.
I'll post some updated pics/vid when I get a chance today, also plan on streaming on Twitch this AM!

Few pics of the most recent progress.
Approach shot into the 2nd green
View of the 3rd green
Starting to come together finally. Huge thanks to my mate AcesRwild for all the great consultation work on this project, helping with tips and tricks for everything from lighting to texture selection, fescue planting etc etc etc. I set pin 1 and gave it a quick playtest while taking notes on small stuff to clean-up.

Couple more pics from the 11th as I work my way around the plot for hopefully a final pass.....it just somehow feels like the sculpting job will never be complete, now when I'm playtesting I see different things that just bug me. I added all of the OOB and I'm ready to pin sets 2-4. Still a couple greens left to tweak based on play testing, but I will say (knock on wood) the "lying" beads that were such a hassle in TGC2 seem much more honest this time, which makes fine tuning the greens just that much easier....

Anytime Royce it's really looking good gonna be a wicked test of golf tee to green I don't think there's a flat spot on this entire course, " even the tee boxes probably have slope lol" but the perimeter of the course is really coming togethernicely,it really gives it a natural feeling to it, I always say if you can see it put it in! I know how you feel when it comes to publishing, cause once you hit that button it's out there and god forgive if you forgot something 🙏.

The amazing part to me is the fact this began as a 100% flat & empty plot. I’m finally fine tuning the greens for all pin positions, once that’s done it’s pretty much a wrap (play testing for “illegal” slopes notwithstanding)! I despise deadlines but if I’m being optimistic this could be published this week if all goes well.

I’m calling it a wrap on the actual course work, just need to playtest 3 more pin sets (already play tested and made fixes for all Pin 1 issues) and then publish! Hopefully sometime tomorrow.

Bit of a set back today but it's for the best, after playtesting 1.5 pinsets I realized I really need to multi-tee this so I can have both the US Open type experience along with the more regular day "members" experience (nobody in their sane mind would play this from 7500 yards IRL lol) and a shorter 7200 yard version lends better for matchplay/alt play IMO so at least Pro club players have a fighting chance. I always have despised multi-teed courses because it renders the dumb HB HCP system meaningless when you have ladies playing from from the LGBT's skewing the slope ratings because HB understand little in this regard.
First time I've used multi-tees as Augusta was an obvious one set course since we all see it from the tips but I have to say the system could be much better, I really wish you could link a pin location to a specific tee. There's just certain spots on a few par 3's where they'd never place a pin on a tight 3 yard shelf with a 250 yard shot (it would go in the center bowl creating a wild fun shot), but other tighter pin locations are perfectly suited for a shorter <200 yard shot. Seems pretty simple if you've ever watched a professional golf tournament.
Anyway probably pushed back by a day now, hope to publish for the weekend.
Here's a teaser of perhaps my favorite hole, the classic short par 4 6th....and it's one of the holes that I feel came out best.

Quick update, greens taking longer to tweak than I expected, just takes too damn long to sculpting, play test, and repeat, course itself takes ages to load up the nearly maxed plant meter.
I have pins 1-3 pretty much sorted out, just one left and then a final pass through. Sorry for the delay but after taking 13+ months I figure what’s another few more days to get it right.
