After a disastrous first three weeks with 5 strikes and demotion to CC-Pro it is finally starting to click. Nowhere near where I want to be, but it’s a start! A final total -27 (topped off with an ace in round 4) Happy days

First ever TGCT, was legit jittery in my first couple of rounds, heart was in my mouth every putt, missed a bunch of <6 footers and I went into the water twice! Managed to keep things under control in the last 2 rounds though, finishing with -34 (66, 68, 59, 61).

I was patting myself on the back for my R1 59 then went to the leaderboard and saw that 8 or 9 others have shot 59 or better!

I was patting myself on the back for my R1 59 then went to the leaderboard and saw that 8 or 9 others have shot 59 or better! And winds were as high as 20mph (highest I've ever seen it reach in this game) in the first couple of rounds, this so-called 'challenge circuit' is hardcore af.

I was terrible in R2 with a 69. The wind on the first 2 holes was 17-22 directly in your face. I play tour clubs and still had 200+ yd approach shots.

What's interesting is on the PC society leaderboard, the top 10 players on the final table averaged 63.7 and 64 for the first and second rounds respectively. Makes me wonder if there might be something to the rumour that PC players experience a slight difference in consistency for frame rate or whatever other issue. I'm sure the overall differences fall within an appropriate margin of error when accounting for skill differences, but still...

Hi Larrymalone. I'm on PC and don't have any problems with fps, playing in 2k locked at 60fPS. Occasionally on the odd course with lots of water and detail I may see an occasional drop to around 50 fps.
But to be fair The Bearded Pelican is real easy on the frames anyway with hardly any trees. I personally Stayed locked at 60 every round I've played there. Never noticed any probs with swing/fps myself.
But yeah lol! I had the savage wind too in the second round! For a 65 & 64 first 2 rounds.

Same here, I think I can count on one hand - out of 400 hours' play - the number of times lag has actually wonkified my swing. But I'm talking about on the aggregate level across the PC playerbase, PC setups are much more variable than consoles so there could well be a difference on a macro level, however slight, which might explain the difference in scores across platforms in general. Would need to see aggregate stats controlling for player numbers to see if there's a statistically significant difference though of course.

My first round was crazy!!! 3 double boggys 2 eagles 9 birdies for a 65 -7 2nd 65 3rd 64 Then I kept playing, but had drank way to much at that point and well......73 +1 I can only live and learn. I'm sure I'll be on the strike line with a -21 Overall very disappointed, but there's always next week

Well the good news is next week's course (Sovereign) is way, way easier, just had a practice on black tees, pin 1 and scored -14 which included a bogey! Even with 20mph winds I can't imagine it being too tricky, we should see some truly offensive scores next week if people have been getting -15 on the Bearded Pelican.

Week 5 : Clapper Classic @ Sovereign Valley G C
Been demoted to web. Started poor with a bogey on the first hole but then went bogey-free to stand at -27 thru 3 (65/61/63).

Lol. You’ve got to love golf...
Completely lost my head in round 4. Was already teetering on the edge as I was playing ok but the wind kept lying to me but then a dreaded check on a chip out of the rough on hole 15 blew the head straight off. Missed the longer-than-should-have-been par putt for my first bogey since round 1, hole 1 and then bogeyed the par-5 afterwards as I was venting about ‘the stupid ducking game’...!!! Phoned it in for the last 2 holes and holes-out for eagle on the 72nd hole 😂😂😂 ‘great ducking game’ eh?
65/61/63/67 (-32).
