St. Andrews Links - Old Course (1st Ed. - Fri) now published.
New pins, Friday locations from 2015. Moved a few tees as well. Played pretty fun in test round.

Played the initial version just now, absolutely blown away and cant say much more than has been said. In awe of the time and attention to detail no doubt you've put into this design... Just unreal.....ended up -5 which I thought for me was a good round, left several putts out there though..... cant wait to give it a go again
Just outstanding work sir, well done

Just played the Friday pins in the Scottish summer weather. Wind changed round plus a few drivable par 4's made it a very different challenge and a lot of fun. Can't get enough of this course!

Echo all of the praise other's have given to the course - awesome job here.
I am also very impressed at how smooth the gameplay was given your comments in the WIP thread regarding the plant meter. I would generally get at least some small hit to FPS when playing a hole with a lot of grass/plants, but this played perfectly smooth the whole way through.
Thanks for all the hours it took to put this together, it is a true gem and now sits aside Magnolia as my favorite 2 courses in the game. Cheer!

Attention. To. Detail.
This course is outstanding, and visually may be better than Magnolia.

I just published my first go round at the reverse course. Published under St. Andrews Links - The Left-Hand Old Course. I read in a book that they do not open the course up regularly for reverse play, as it creates a lot of logistical and safety issues. After running into a bit of a jumbled mess out at the turn, I could easily see how this happens. So I relied on this article for a plan to route the course: golfclubatlas.com/in-my-opinion/jeremy-glenn-the-reverse-old-course/A lot of the holes present really interesting options, where you can go straight down the fairway for a better angle, but may have to lay up as you run out of fairway, or you can go down the opposite fairway for maximum length. Really on a lot of the holes, using the opposite fairway is more beneficial. One particular hole of note was the 5th, where crossing over to the 13th green at the back is not really a logistical possibility in real life. With the tees farther up coming from the left side, I decided to play it even more forward and make the hole a par 4. As I play with this course a little more, I may end up creating some new tees, or adding more fairway in certain places to either bring more bunkers in to play, create more equally enticing options off the tee, or both. Since this course and the regular course can live independently from each other in the game, it gives me a lot more leeway than the superintendents have in real life.

Could we have a version with softer greens to simulate the Scottish summer. Joking guys but I would like a version with a softer feel to it.

Umm, holy crap! Absolutely blown away by what is possible in the designer of this game when a great designer spends so many hours on a creation. I will play this over, and over, and over again! Thank you CLV!
