I mean, listen to this conversation!!! I love it... the attention to detail here is unbelievable. yyzleafs brings up a legitimate question regarding a very specific detail, and sure enough, theclv24 had ALREADY looked into it during the design. Incredible! Can't say enough good things about this course. Ha, thanks! I only knew it was there because I luckily stumbled upon the fact early on last summer that google had done a streetview for the entire length of the cart path for the course, and I only knew that was even a possibility because maybe a year or two earlier I stumbled upon the fact that the same thing was done for the Bay Harbor course in Michigan (hint hint, if anyone wants to create that course). Here it is, for reference: Also, a chicken salad and bacon sandwich sounds delicious. I wish I was having one of those for lunch.

I looked at it on Google Earth streetview during construction. I would say from my (American) perspective, it looks a lot more like a really tiny van than an RV. The closest thing I could find in size and shape was the green SUV, so that is what I used. I mean, listen to this conversation!!! Incredible! Can't say enough good things about this course. No kidding. This course is hands down my favorite course on tgc. It's better than Magnolia National. I've played the old course 7 or 8 times. Unfortunately I've had concussions from sports and my memory is now quite poor. But this course, it brought back memories for me that I thought were gone forever. Selfishly, I'm very thankful that theclv24 did such a great job in this. This course in this game is so much more than just a course to me.

Played it, loved it... didn't pay any attention to my score because I got so sidetracked by this beauty of a course!
Craig, you are a magician when it comes to re-creating (well known) real life courses!
I take my hat off to you (and all the other designers that make this game so great for us)!

Fantastic work!
Beautiful execution of the intricacies of the greens that make St. Andrews so interesting.
One of the best courses in the game.
Can't wait to play it on TGC2 with the new swing and ball physics

Absolutely stunning, the greens were incredible, everything done to such a high degree of accuracy. The road hole was executed perfectly, love the tee shot & the approach. Unfortunately the pot bunker got me but I got up & down. Cannot express how perfect this recreation feels. I put the calculator away for this round and played it by feel, just wanted to enjoy my round and take in the scenery. I scored a -7 65 but that was just a bonus, the real reward is getting to play one of the best courses ever made in the GNCC. Well done theclv24

Fantastic RCR! For as plain and simple as St Andrews might seem I can appreciate that the work put in on this course was tremendous. Sculpting out all those humps, bumps, run off's and green complexes must have taken some hard toil and time, and the work put in has paid off plentiful in the end. Very accurate RCR here with excellent playability in TGCT2. Another 10/10.

I had actually forgotten about the left hand version. I suppose that won't be too hard to put together, just have to remove all of the tournament objects first. I'll see if I can dig up the old routing I used in TGC1.

Ok I just published "The Reverse Old Course". Here are some notes: - The routing is based off of this: golfclubatlas.com/in-my-opinion/jeremy-glenn-the-reverse-old-course- I added a new tee for the 5th hole and the 9th hole to accommodate the routing. - I tested pins 1 and 4. I didn't playtest 2 and 3 but I'm sure they are fine. - It's mostly an easy course, depending on the wind, but the 4th pinset is pretty fun. There are some locations there that are daunting, and a lot of fun to try and get at. - The 5th might be my favorite, with the option to go left over flatter ground and have a bad angle in, or go right up the original fairway for a straighter angle. - I also like the 6th. Trying to attack that 12th green from behind with a mid iron is a real challenge. - 7 through 11 is such a logistical nightmare that I see why they don't open the course for reverse play. It's too dangerous. - There just isn't a way to make the 9th hole interesting, forwards or backwards.
