Here we go, guys. Once we get the judging going I will try my best to keep this updated. I'll give more detail on the schedule that we'll use to judge the groups once we get closer to that time. I'll list the courses in this post once we hit the publishing window. The publishing window will start December 1 with a deadline of 12 am CST on January 1, 2017. All courses and course threads are to go in this forum, please. I will do my best to make sure that people are coming in and checking out your courses and giving them the plays they deserve. Once we get deeper into the judging I will move the course threads into the completed course forum in small batches so as not to overwhelm designers that have nothing to do with the contest. Good luck, all....let's make this a great one.

Nice work @griff - can't wait for this to kick off & watch the tables develop. Nice to know who & what you'll be up against if your lucky enough to get through to the knock out phase(s).

What is the point situation going to be. 3 points for a win, 1 for a tie (soccer style) or 2 points for a win, 1 for a tie (Hockey style). Just need to know if it is valuable to shoot for the tie.

Without meaning any offense to Adam or Moe in my group, I think our group is the most "compact". The least difference in ability between best and worst designer. I don't design a lot, 4 main courses released and all have gotten good feedback so I aim to win. Will definitely be happy with 2nd though. Playing for 2nd, leads to finishing 3rd. Now I need to figure out how to polish up my courses like you do... your new design looks so freakin' purty.

Theoretically every group should finish with winner having 9, 2nd place having 6, 3rd 3 and 4th 0 right?
If A>B, and B>C then we should have A>C too. I can maybe see where a group finishes 9,6,1,1 or 9,4,4,0 but I feel like most groups will finish 9,6,3,0.
So what are we doing in the case of a tie at the group level, or has that already been said and I'm missing it somewhere?

So what are we doing in the case of a tie at the group level, or has that already been said and I'm missing it somewhere? "There will be a panel of judges that will alternate judging the groups. Each course will be judged against every other course in it's group round robin style. 3 points will be awarded for a win, and 1 point will be awarded for a tie (which will RARELY happen). At the end of the group stage judging, the top 2 courses from each stage will advance to a knockout round. In the case of a tie, the first tiebreaker will be the head-to-head matchup in the group stage judging. If that was a tie, then the courses will face a "sudden death" judging by the panel."
