Hey guys, myself (Kent Shaffer)and gregfordyce (Greg Fordyce) have a new Twitch Show - TGC Course Review - and will be broadcasting live every Thursday night at 7PM EST and Saturdays at 4PM EST. We will be reviewing/playing selected new courses submitted to us every week. As a TGCTours Ranger, I receive a lot of private messages to check out designer's courses, and we felt it would be a great idea to live-play and critique selected ones and give designers a chance to have their courses spotlighted.
I review courses already for TGC and if we feel that your course is tournament ready, I can (and normally will) suggest it in the Rangers Forum (which can help in getting the course selected for possible inclusion in a TGCTours tourney). This will be a live weekly broadcast every Thursday at 7PM EST and Saturdays at 4PM EST. So please either post your courses in this thread, or you can send a message to myself or GregFordyce on the forums, for consideration to be on the show.
We have decided that there are a lot of courses out there that do not get the attention they deserve, and this is our way of helping get more exposure to the design community. This broadcast is dedicated to all the hard-working course designers for TGC!
Go to and follow us and participate in the live chat! You can also follow us on Twitter @tgccoursereview

Review the club at saguaro lake, gogo! And don't do Taste's course...it's been done and played by many people by now. It's had months of attention.

Don't forget to favorite our Twitch channel! We will be broadcasting live every Thursday at 7PM EST. If you have a course that you have designed and feel that it is worth our time to review... please send us a PM or post it in this thread. We found what we feel is a gorgeous course. It is a great challenge and will be a pleasure to play and critique it. The name of the course is BlackWater Crossing CC. The designer of the course can be found at www.hb-studios.com/forum/index.php?topic=16638.0At the end of the review we will be posting a synopsis of the course here in this thread. The course description can be found below. I'm happy to announce I've finally completed my latest project, Blackwater Crossing CC. It is a boreal themed course that measured out to about 7,200 yards with quicker greens running at 187 feet. The challenge mostly comes from the greens, which are quick and with more undulation than usual for my courses, and feature numerous false fronts. I've published four versions with four different pin locations, with Thursday being the easiest and Sunday being the hardest. I tried to make them challenging but fair, so even the Sunday pin locations aren't too tricked up.

And don't get me wrong. We are not here to tear a course designer and his course apart! We are here to bring attention to the 1000's of designers that have not made a name for themselves already. There are 100's if not 1000's of courses that are out there, worthy of review... review meaning ... getting the designer and his courses out in to the larger communities like TGC. If we have chosen a course, we have already critiqued it and decided it is worthy for presentation to a larger group. Hopefully the ones we (Greg and I) find to be excellent courses will be played on one of the Tours. With Greg's expertise in course design (his course is being played on the PGA) and my ability to make sure that the hole locations are within specs and the course gets on the correct tour, there is a great chance that the course will be played by the rangers here at TGC and will agree the course is ready for prime time!

Thanks to those of you who tuned in and commented and joined in our inaugural show Me and Kent really appreciate it - as do the designers of the courses we review. Such a fantastic community we are fortunate to have here with TGC. Hope to see you all on the next show. Cheers! Greg

I've never ever seen anyone shoot as straight as you nobleman. What's your secret?
Also. You guys do know that Whistling Straights is a real course right? So you don't have to imagine all those bunkers.
Good luck moving forward guys! Enjoyed it!
