Been meaning to comment for ages, Simon... love the Floyd reference. If I had to choose one to match, it would be: Now wakes the owl, thus sleeps the swan, behold the dream, the dream is gone. Or perhaps with a little deference to ijs "Welcome my son, welcome to the machine..."

Thought I'd post an interesting private message I just received over on the HB forums, as well as my reply, on this thread. I have nothing to hide, and neither does my co-host Kent, so everyone feel free to read and comment as you see fit. Here's the PM I received:

i watched your broadcast the other night as you know i was making comments, ok first i really dont care but a lot of people do and were watching you guys need to be careful using your titan mod during broadcasts fully lofting driver and hitting it dead straight all the time is a dead give away my friends have them and i know especially your partner is using it you cant that many shots straight with no pixel movement turning on and off wont work either, i know one idiot thats all he does is go around and try and bust people i kept this private and spoke with no one but that idiot said something to me and i told him to get a life he was watching and even the designer commented on you fully lofting driver , just a heads up brother and yes i enjoyed your review i would love to see you play copperhead and tell me what you think i even had the green grids for the course and pin placements and someone whose played there several times you prably already played it it cool if you dont do it but im always curious _______ And here is my reply I sent to him:
What the hell is a Titan mod?? Feel free to report me and Kent to HB or whoever, I welcome any examination of our code/games/machine stats/whatever. I must have sliced/hooked a dozen shots on the show when I cranked up the top, so no clue what you mean about my shots being straight, and I use a mouise. And Kent uses a Steam controller and hits at 90% power constantly.
We are both ranked around 850-900 or so on the World Golf Ranking in Web.com on TGCTours. I think if we were using some kind of "mod" which I'm assuming is a cheat of some kind, we would probably be ranked quite a bit higher than that lol.
By all means PLEASE report your suspicions to whoever you wish lol. No need to keep your suspicions private, splatter it all over the forums for all I care, and I speak for Kent too. In fact, I'll beat you to the punch and post this crap right to both main threads on TGCTours and HB. Also, please get a life - sounds like you need one. Someone hitting a few straight shots does not mean cheating, and if you think so, you really know waaayyy too much about the subject for my comfort. Greg Fordyce

I'm not going to comment on this ridiculous accusation from this person after this. If I was some kind of cheater, I would certainly not be so stupid as to do so where anyone and everyone could observe me doing so - like a live Twitch broadcast. Perhaps there are a lot of cheaters out there - guess it shouldn't surprise me. But I don't appreciate being called one, and I'm sure my co-host Kent doesn't either. Whatever dark netherworld of "mods" and cheats exists out there for people who have such a pathetic lack of a life and ethics, where they feel the need to cheat on a damn video game and somehow get satisfaction out of that, as opposed to actually succeeding from skill - go for it. But leave me (and Kent) out of your f**cked up calculus. I'm a pretty average golfer on TGC, and proud of it.

LOL yup. I guess we're getting a crash course in the Dark Side of video games here. Apparently hitting straight shots is so difficult in TGC that if you do so consistently, you are a cheater and paid for some "mod" to do so. Thought you'd get a kick out of that one Kent. Let's have an extra TGC Course Review show on Sunday, so we can wax rhapsodic on the subject. Many course submissions to choose from, let's discuss shortly.

I've never ever seen anyone shoot as straight as you nobleman. What's your secret? Also. You guys do know that Whistling Straights is a real course right? So you don't have to imagine all those bunkers. Good luck moving forward guys! Enjoyed it! lol I've seen him slice/hook the bejeezus out of so many shots, you caught him on a good night And yes, we know Whistling Straights is a real course, I'm just blown away by the amount of sand on that thing Absolutely insane. I have to comment on it whenever I see one of us has played it. Thanks for the good wishes mrooola! Greg

Caught some of archived footage from the first show. Nice work so far guys. Looking forward to more episodes, hopefully I can make one of them in real time.
My only question is... why max loft the driver? I didn't think people actually did this except on really rare occasions. The risk is so high compared the added distance. Unless you are doing it to artificially make the game more difficult? Just curious.

Yes it is dangerous, but I get satisfaction out of out driving someone so I can see how they take the shot, I will soon be hitting.

If you check out our latest video, just go to the 21 minute mark. I had to start the show and leave for 21 minutes to tend to a personal matter. The course is gorgeous and difficult, even with slow greens. Granted the winds were 15 MPH but that made for a challenging round! If the greens were raised to a higher speed and the firmness was increased, I feel that it would be worthy of the PGA tour. It is a thinking mans course. Check it out yourselves.
