if I had known I wouldn't have posted a beta version of my front 9 layout a while back... Without that course to work from I'm out. Not enough time to do another one right now.
Also...the whole popular vote thing is no good for me usually. The folks that know course design like my stuff. The general public that enjoys looks over design strategy (yes most do and I'm not being a stick in the mud, just honest) don't consider my tracks all that special. *sorry if I sound grouchy. I'm sick. Get over it*
IF I can use the one with the front 9 beta I'd probably still do it. I've changed the holes already but... unless I'm in with that one I don't have anything else far enough along that 45 days will see it done the way I want.

Love a bit of Champions League football & with a slice of golf course design you can count me in... I've got nothing in the pipeline so it'll be a fresh blank canvas start for me.

The actual winner will be decided by the judges. We will have a popular vote for a "community choice award" so that we can get the courses more plays and the community more involved. Lesson learned from the Showdown, so from now on the judges will be the determining factor beginning to end...but still want to have the community involved on some level. I'll tell ya what...you and bradleystuart can use the beta courses since they haven't actually gone to final publish. I'm trying to be a bit more relaxed on this one since it's the end of the year. I'll probably be a bit more strict once TGC2 comes out, but this one really is about participation and recognizing the designers.

I was just wondering because not sure how to tell other than asking each designer but I would think it would be a cool stat to see total number of published courses and total number of plays. I bet Reeb's numbers are staggering..... But the guys who build RCR's really have the massive amount of plays.

Once we have the entrants finalized I can make a list of all courses, plays etc for all designers. I enjoy that kind of stuff.
As a participant in have no problem with guys using current betas here even if one of them pretty much is finished. I like this whole lax approach and believe this whole competition is a good way for us all to pick up one of those courses laying around and make something real good out of it or create something new if that is what you choose.
Good luck all.

Keep in mind that players on PC have more advantage then players on PS4 @griff It crashes from time to time...you have to save a lot everytime.
I dont own a PC copy.

It does crash, but I did ok designing a contest course on ps4. That's one of the reasons why the deadline is January 1. Yes, the deadline to enter is Nov 15, but those that already know that they are competing have 2 months to get a course to the finish line. Even with crashes that should be plenty of time...

Don't build cart paths (or at least not many) until towards the end. I've only had one course that was crash city and that was Swiss theme with a ton of cart paths... rarely have I seen crashes otherwise, just save regularly just in case and it is fine from my experience
