Then play your plot via unpublished course and change wind speeds so you get your wind affected carry lengths too Ehhhhh.......wind is wind. I've played countless rounds over these 3 games that wind is almost second nature. I still apply the plus 1.5 times for headwind and minus three-quarters for tailwind. Generally. 130 into an 8 headwind is 142 and a 9-iron with more than a bit of loft . 130 with an 8 tailwind is 124 and generally for me, a fully de-lofted SW. To me and only me. Generally. I've got my wedges down to a 7-iron memorized for different lofts and fully lofted/de-lofted. From there I just fill in the blanks. Then again, I'm a middling PGA hack.

Thanks for this thread I'm really enjoying this simulator and this info helps so much. I was wondering about putting and a situation I have run into, I had a 35 ft putt that was uphill breaking strongly to the left until about 19 ft then the rest was downhill to the cup which was breaking very slightly to the right. I'm getting the hang of dowhill breaks are more pronounced than uphill and I'm figuering making this sort of put in one shot would be mainly luck but is it better to adjust the break to the left and short for second putt or run a little past for a uphill second putt. Also I am part of the beginner tour and this weeks course is Charlotte something and rated easiest but I am having a hell of a time using the distance shown because most of the holes are not centered on the pin with either to long or to short. Is each square a yard to add to or subtract from because I'm coming up short or well past on this course where other courses the calculations are pretty spot on. Thanks for your time.

Not sure I understand your question about the yardage Mr Mark but each square is a yard on the green.
Like real golf always try and leave an uphill putt on your approach shots, 10ft uphill is much more preferable than 5ft downhill. That said when I putt I never try and leave it short, 100% of short putts don’t go in.

That is even when using the yards/feet measurement setting.

Does anyone know where I can get a shot chart - Pro clubs - for TGC2019? I have charted all the clubs for Beginners clubs, but would like to move up to Pros. I can't find a published course for developing my own shot chart. I'd post a copy of my B-Club spreadsheet, but don't know how to do that........................
Can anyone help me?

Can anyone help me? I made a range in the designer when the game came out. It's just a tee box surrounded by nothing but water with no elevation. I did this because I'm only concerned with carry distance. I did max loft/de-loft with all clubs LW to 7 iron. I also did the same for pitches/flops min/maxed with wedges.

The charts and everything are great, but can't you just keep it in your head. Or better yet just play lots and lots of rounds and eventually all that info will be almost automatic, when a certain shot comes up. Plus all the looking up of charts would just literally ruin the game for me. Granted thats what the caddies do in Pro golf, but for some reason just seems wrong to me. As far as putting goes, whether its up or downhill doesn't make much of a difference, yes you can go for it a bit more uphill, but if you always leave uphill putts, whats going to happen when you get a downhill one, and it will happen.
Then theres always that question, what is close enough, and this counts for putting or approach shots. For putts, anything inside 5 feet should be a gimme, after that it just gets more fun. For anything 30 feet and outside, try and get the putt within a couple feet.
As far as approach shots I try and get within 10 feet If its 150 yards or closer, outside that just getting it on the green to me at least is a good shot, but mileage may vary.

I think everyone is a little different Bruce. In this game I have everything in my head so I guess I play the game more how you like it but I do know people that like to "fine tune" their game with charts and that's totally cool and a great/smart way to play the game. Sometimes people just like the numbers aspect and actually looking at them and analyzing them. I'm a feel player myself, both in this game and IRL but everyone is different and should play the game in a way that's fun to them....just my $0.02.

Totally agree, do whatever makes you happy, and there are quite a few that love to crunch the numbers, and no doubt play a better round because of it. The whole time I was writing that entry, all I could think about was that quote from the movie The Patriot "Aim small, miss small".

Does the spreadsheet posted in the OP apply to TGC 2019? I used the sheet when trying to get better back in TGC1 and it helped me get a lot better. I started playing TGC 2019 last week and I'm struggling to consistently score.

For any of the experts. If I calibrate my swing in the Pro stage and I switch to Master do I need to calibrate again?
