Hey guys, just wondering, those of you that are playing on the PC could you tell me if you use a controller OR a mouse for your play? I have tried them both and wondering which is more successful for YOUR play and I would appreciate any comments. Thanks.

Never tried mouse. I use a ps4 controller as I'm more used to how that feels in the hand rather than the Xbox 360 I first bought as that feels clunky and uncomfortable.

I have tried them both and wondering which is more successful for YOUR play and I would appreciate any comments. Thanks. I'm much more comfortable with a controller than keyboard+mouse in general. And since I play this on my couch gaming rig, using keyboard and mouse would be awkward to say the least. I've tested out two different PS3 controllers (an old on and a new one with the stick still stiff), as well as an Xbox 360 controller. I've had the best success with the Xbox controller; the PS3 sticks are rather loose and I tend to accidentally fade or draw often with them. Disappointing since my PS3 pads are my default controllers, but it is what it is. I've also used an Ipega PG-9023 when streaming to my tablet. It's nice to play portably, but the controller feels like cheating because the deadzone for the x-axis is so large that I almost always hit perfectly straight shots, even if maxing out the loft meter (which should be pretty much impossible).

I've used both, but I prefer a controller because the mouse wasn't working for putting.

Thanks for the replies guys, much appreciated, but if I may ask a question particularly to Mr. Pumpkins, why wasn't the mouse working for putting? Is it because hitting it too hard, soft, won't stay straight? My experience with a controller reminds me of very difficult putting woes, especially judging how far to pull the stick back for putting distances as opposed to the mouse where the sensitivity can be adjusted for.

For the putting, the mouse is just hard to control the length. You either hit it ten feet short or 40 feet long. Of course that's coming from TGC's worst putter ever... lol. I still didn't get great at putting with a controller, but it was definitely a lot better. It really all comes down to personal preference.

I use mouse & keyboard. The gauging of backswing on putts is strange at first, but like everything on this game, the more you practice the margin for error reduces.
I will say this though, if you use a wireless mouse make sure you dont play when the batteries are running low. A few times now I have gone to putt, and without holding the left button down I have moved the mouse and my guy hits the ball. When this has happened Ive raged, moved the mouse again and the next putt is taken again. Very, very frustrating.

mouse all the way, feels more natural, especially on putting Have to agree with Andy on this one, I have switched from controller to mouse for a time but my big issue is that with a mouse I am very much in control of short lob wedge shots ie: 8-16 yds . Example is on the back swing to the knee is about 5 -7 yds to the waist from 8-12 yds and shoulder 14-16 yds. Can't do that with a controller. Been golfing on line for ages now and always played with mouse so I guess I am much more comfortable with it. Old school, since I am old as dirt
