Reading this is making me think I should finally get around to trying the online out. I am between games at the moment, but I've become addicted to PS5 load times and my PS5 hard drive space is already non-existent. Might try to make room if I don't get into anything else over the next day or two.

Much more fun now. Not sure if the rigs (?) we play on are going to make the game load any faster. I am on high end pc and loading can be cumbersome at times.

PC myself. Game is on my regular HD. Initial load is slow'ish. Part where the progress bar is there. After that its not so bad. Switching servers takes maybe a minute or two but not so bad. I have room for two games on my SSD, one is PGA2K. The other Destiny. I may at one point if I don't go back to Destiny hardcore then I'll switch it to HD and move Red Dead to SSD. There was a noticeable difference when I moved destiny to the ssd so imagine it would be the same with this game.
Have over 100 hours in now and can't say I've ever experienced a griefer. Quite the opposite. People running with me to help with roadblocks when delivering shine. Moonshine shack invites where a bunch of blue dots show up and we drink, emote, play in the band. Had one guy roll up on my camp and get off his horse, go pet my dog, get on his horse and run away. I've read about people just rolling up on someone and giving them a perfect pelt. I tried that the other day when my camp went missing. Literally said "I have no camp to fast travel to". (apparent bug, reloaded and it was back) I had perfect pelt on my horse and no where to put it. Rhodes, no one around, Valentine no one around. I just left it on the porch of the gunsmith for someone to come across then went and reloaded to find my camp again.
Game still loaded right now and I'm resting at camp. Had to go afk for a phone call from DR.
little tip if you are collectable hunting. I've been just cruising around checking all buildings. Ran the entire east coast the other day. I have 10-12 of 14 of nearly all tarot cards, and lots of other collections that only need 3-5 items. Also. Fast travel to Colter. Stand in the middle and load into another server. You are guaranteed at least 4 cards and some other loot. I've done this twice now, once today. Works at Braithwaite too, better/more loot there. Not cashing in until I have about 5-7 sets to collect on for major cash. And moonshine deliveries are giving +50% all week too.

hey all, I'm very new to the RDR2 online game, just hit level 14 yesterday. so far I've quite enjoyed being a trader. just wondering if anyone has experience as a moonshiner and if that's an enjoyable role to try? or what roles (prefer not too violent) they recommend? don't wanna buy/grind gold for it if it's not that fun, but it seems interesting.

Cleared space and installed it. It took just over three months but this is the first game disc that I've put in my PS5.

My only gripe...the clock moves too fast for daylight / nighttime. I wouldn't mind playing a bit longer in either.

Moonshining is fun for me. I typically try to set myself up for the $247 runs with the strong, expensive mixes. I wish I made money off the bums hanging out in my moonshine bar. Between animal hunting and bounty hunting, running moonshine is a quick couple of bucks. No users have ever tried to ruin my load, only npc’s. Only time I’ve experienced that is when running trader items a longer distance.

Hi All Does anyone know of a setting you can adjust so the game doesn’t shut down after 5 minutes of being idle,so frustrating

The game does give you 13 minutes after going into the cinematics warning before it closes out. That’s for PlayStation. I don’t know about other platforms.

Hi All Does anyone know of a setting you can adjust so the game doesn’t shut down after 5 minutes of being idle,so frustrating for online, I read about a "glitch" where you can open up the catalogue (might have to be in a certain place? camp or general store I think) if you're going to be idle and you don't get kicked. could rack up decent daily camp costs if it's a long time however. also have not tried this myself.

Good to know about the catalogue glitch will try that tomorrow. I've been booted a few times for idleness. Not related but yesterday I was slowly cruising by a guys camp, he was there, next thing you know I get "I've been transferred to a new session due to network error. Lobby by myself. And imagine that, legendary red stripe fox appears. They really need to fix how legendaries are dolled out. I never see them because someone else has already bagged it. 1'st time in my own server, one pops up right away.
Today think I experienced a hacker. Just running around hitting roadblocks and hideouts. When all of a sudden my horse shrinks. A LOT. Video below there is some involuntary movement right before it happens, I kind of turn around, then after it jumps back, looked like a lag thing. Rode it to the fast travel, went to camp to turn in my pelt to Cripps. Then shut down and restarted the game to rid myself of whatever pissant was around.
Also second part of video is a perfect of example of what happens being a nice guy and helping a stranger out. Nearly killed my horse. I reloaded another session before it died completely. Couldn't revive it, or give it any medicine. My bad, was having a hard time seeing where I was going when I crashed.
Good day though. Made nearly 1500 bucks. 380 from one trader run. 371 from a shine, then a few hundred here and there on a couple more shine runs. Have $2970 sitting there. Nothing to spend it on.
