It’ll be only on some horses. When you’re shopping you’ll be prompted to press R3. Press it and you’ll see the discount.
Failing that go through the pause menu -> benefits.

If there is anything to be had it will say "claim" and a prompt to hold button. Good call on that. Old guy memory here forgets these things and needs you younger folk to smack me into remembering. |

I have a special deal for a free horse and much more...how do I claim this stuff? Can't find anything online about how to. This should be the same in PC as it is on my PS. Important note: you need to have an available stable before you can another horse so make sure you have one. If not, you will need to by one. It’s on the Manage Owned Horses menu. Scroll down to Unowned Stall and you can purchase it. If you have a Benefits ticket for a free stall or a discount, you will see an Offers and Rewards icon on the lower right selections. You will also see that same icon for you free or discounted horses when you are in the Buy Horse menu. Not all horses are eligible. Productive day for me. Went from level 47 to 50 and finally unlocked the Carancano rifle. I've been on shotted so many times in the head by others with this thing I needed one for myself. I have literally fired one shot with it to try it out before logging off for the day and brought Cripps a 3 star buck to shut him up for the night.
Also got 3 of my abilty cards to level 3. Hadn't been paying much attention to them but would upgrade when I had a decent amount of money. And won one of the online challenges. Fishing of course. Sure couldn't win a shooting one lol. And have a treasure map to start the day tomorrow for ranking up.
So nice to play a game the rewards time spent playing and doesn't troll you with janky tempo randomness and slot machine rng crap.

I did some of my usual random whatever stuff for a bit and then tried the Hard level for the New Employment Opportunities update.
I ran with the Outrider one and got my ass pwned about 8 times before I was able to get thru it. The npc’s were relentless and were literally coming out of the woodwork. Good thing I had a lot of ammo for all of my guns.
Because there were so many enemies from every direction, they were getting up close. It turned out my best weapon was the repeating shotgun with incendiary slugs. But that ammo, like the explosive bullets, are very limited carry.
The 3rd level is titled “Ruthless”. Smh. I dropped so many f bombs on the hard level I can’t imagine how that’s gonna go lol. Going to finish the other two on hard first.
I went on a pig slaughter afterwards just to make myself feel better. Skinned them on the spot so I had animal fat for explosives and sold the meat to the butcher. Gave the rest to Cripps.
I did reach Rank 100 finally.

I mostly want the Carcano to use as a high powered rifle. It would never work for me in a pvp setting as I'm too slow to aim and shoot. I'm more of a shotgun ape. But do need a good rifle for out in the world. For example I spent a good deal of time yesterday just slowly walking around the northern end of the west as far as you could go looking for collectables. Out of the blue I see the yellow ? Which is a rarity for me lol. I turn around its a legendary elk or something (desert animal). Its too close for me to use the rolling block with scope, I'd lose sight of it minute I scope in. So I pick the Springfield. One shot in its forehead. It looks at me, laughs, gives me the finger and starts running away. I put 3 more into it's body and ass and it still gets away. Only now starting to pay more attention to my cards. Using regen cards mostly. Cant remember names, but ones that regen health quickly. I feel a lot more tanky now. I can just walk into a roadblock with my pump action shotgun and start picking them off. Dive into cover when I start to get low, drink a tonic then go back to aping them. Could never get on with the Navy revolver myself. Still like the cattleman's. Currently duel wielding a cattleman's and sawed off. It's off balanced though, doesn't seem to feel right. Will most likely grab another cattleman's to put in there. I don't run into many griefers if at all (probably just cursed myself now). In fact yesterday I was doing a wagon recovery, blue dot rolls up on me as I'm fighting a roadblock while wagoning by, he jumps in starts to pick off the bad guys, then ran with me all the way to the end providing cover. That was cool, having a rando just jump in to help out like that. Watched a bit of Jimmy's stream yesterday myself. Actually quit just as he was selecting the outlaw thing. Should have stuck around I guess. Thanks for streaming though, lets me see how others play. And hope you don't mind me calling you Jimmy. I know I would screw up the spelling of your username so I just pick the easy way out. Let me know if it bugs you. |

Woohoo, got my free stuff. Only thing is I lost my original saddle when I got my free horse. Totally on me for not being careful in the menu. No biggie. Only need one saddle at a time.

Had stowed a perfect whitetail buck and was dragging a perfect whitetail. Got off my horse to pick some shrooms and when I got back the buck was gone. But I am still having a blast.
