This is the first Presidential election in which I'm eligible to vote... I don't know whether to laugh or cry (probably both) at the options we have. Part of me wishes Deez Nuts had made it through the primaries. You always have the option to write in someone. I expect we will see a record number of write ins this time around.

I literally feel sick about this election. Every option (including 3rd party (4th party, 5th party) is a bad one. Every one has more bad than good in them and their policies (or lack thereof). I truly think our country is heading down a bad road for the next 4 years regardless.

Clinton - Idiot and a Liar.. A pure politician.. Will say whatever gets her the most votes.. Doesn't give a rats ass about Americans.. Plays the fiddle to all minorities but wont do jack shi@t for them.. Her husband will get to have lots more fun in the oval office though.. Trump - How can someone so stupid have so much money? Unbelievable.. The man has ZERO class.. He constantly puts his foot in his mouth.. He is the most unpresidential candidate in my lifetime.. He is not a true republican.. He is a loud mouth dork.. Neither of them will do anything positive for Americans.. At one time, the American dream was to have a job and buy a home.. Now the American dream is to get as much crap as you can for FREE.. We have lost our morals.. We have taken God out of schools.. And we are hurting.. I am afraid the worst is yet to come.. The National Debt is soaring and our idiot in charge right now wants nothing to do with paying the debt off.. Spend Spend Spend.. And we are getting Crap Crap Crap for it.. Obama wants all Americans to pay their fair share so our worthless government can squander more of our money.. The US government is the worst run company in the world.. They are bankrupt.. Would you like to donate ? Well said, but coming from a Spurs fan it's hard to appreciate. #GoSuns

this is why the two party system needs to go. The choice we have are horrible. The only hope is grid lock in the house and senate to make sure no policy changes go through in the next 4 years. I feel for my kids, either of them are going to screw the next generation

I think it has been a civil thread, no one is attacking other members of the site - only the candidates themselves lol Also our disgust with the system as a whole and the choices we've been given. I think we're ok here as long as we don't go after each other

Simply the worst choice ever. Past, pesent and hopefully future. I truly believe 'None of the above' would win in a landslide.

McMullin is the only one I'd consider voting for and even then I'd only hope that he could some how cause the election to go to the House of Representatives so the GOP could pick another option.
Trump is well Trump, nuff said. Hillary is far too corrupt, evil and b%&y. I have read all sorts of books on her from over thirty years and everyone share one thread, she is a very mean and selfish person. She treats subordinates like sh%$ and does NOTHING unless it somehow furthers her or her family's career or bankroll. The new Wikileaks stuff just scratches the surface of the overall collusion and deceit between the Clinton Campaign, the White House, State and Justice Departments.
The most interesting thing that I read recently is that Obama was full ready to okay an indictment of Hillary. He wanted Joe Biden to run, but Joe decided in the end he couldn't. Elizabeth Warren was also tapped and she too turned down Obama. That left the President in the quandary, if he allows an indictment, the GoP would win and that was worse to Obama than to have Hillary succeed him. He and Michele dislike Hillary and HATE Bill. But he had no choice. Either endorse her or hand the election to the GoP. They coudln't control Comey but they gave him lots of 'hints' that there would be no indictment, including coming out and saying the President didn't Hillary did anything wrong and of course his endorsement.
The final nail came when Bill boarded the plane of Attorney General Lynch. That was a planned move by Bill and forced Lynch to say she would take whatever recommendation the FBI had to offer regardless what it was. This put the FBI in a position to pretty much decide the 2016 election. Comey was trapped. If he indicts her, the FBI becomes political and would be blamed for Hillary's loss, forever damaging the FBI's credibility in any future investigations. If he doesn't indict, he gets slammed by the right, but the integrity of the FBI is kept. Comey opted for a third option however.
He slammed Hillary in the July 5th news conference, spelling out into detail how corrupt she was, but then refused to recommend charges. What he did after hasn't been done by the FBI hardly ever, he then started to turn over EVERYTHING he could to Congress and the American people. The FBI doesn't do this. They don't explain their investigations that result in no charges, but Comey's plan was to put everything out there, little by little to show the American people exactly how guilty Hillary and her camp really was. So much evidence of wrong doing that the American people have to ask, "Why was she not indicted?" In the end only two conclusions could be reached. Either 1. The FBI is corrupt, but if they were, why release all the evidence showing how corrupt they are, or 2. Show they had all the evidence they needed and the decision not to indict came down from his boss, Loretta Lynch and her boss Obama.
Finally there is talk that the FBI is still engaging in an investigation against Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation. The Justice Dept has denied this but the FBI only says, "We do not comment on any potential investigation that may or may not be ongoing." I have read that Comey feels he has the goods to nail Hillary on this, especially with the recent document leaks from Wikileaks. If she wins, I would suspect he very well may put this out there. Just like Nixon, the evidence will be presented of her overwhelming guilt once again. WHile she won't be able to be prosecuted by the FBI as President, there would be public outcry and potentially impeachment. Most of all it would tarnish her legacy.

All I gotta say is that we all missed the boat with a credible candidate with Bernie Sanders, whether or not you agreed with him.

All I gotta say is that we all missed the boat with a credible candidate with Bernie Sanders, whether or not you agreed with him. Not all.... only the Dem primary voters. they put her there. Just like the GOP primary voters put him there. Just a comment on corruptness - if anyone think Trump does not have his own level of corruptness, they are kidding themselves. He self-admittedly has been at the core of corruption by giving money to them for favors. Make no mistake, he is not an "outsider". He has simply played the same game in a different uniform. And even with that, he still has total crap for policy. Zero revenue + increased debt. How does that make sense to any reasonable person who honestly wants to improve America? Someone, anyone, explain to me why that makes sense and is worth supporting? Please. Anyone. Step up and back that because I want to have that discussion with you. None of your supporting argument can have the words Hillary or Clinton in them. We are talking about Trump's policy on its own two legs.

While you are 'technically' correct that the Dems put her there, after her loss to Obama in 2008 when she felt then it was her 'turn', she went out of her way to ensure NO ONE with any true political threat would dare get into the race against her. They wanted some competition so it wouldn't be a coronation so when Bernie got in, they were perfectly fine with that as they thought she'd put him away within 3 months.
Then something happened. The youth started seeing someone they could associate with and many others actually started realizing how evil Hillary was. Had the media given Sanders the type of media Trump was getting early on, Sanders would have won. Unfortunately for him, they didn't take him seriously until he won New Hampshire by double digits, despite the fact he was giving speeches to tens of thousands of folks while she was giving speeches to 1000 and less.
Finally once he started gaining momentum, the DNC worked with the Clinton campaign to set the debates during major sporting events, outside prime time and on weekends, because Hillary really didn't want to debate at all. She wanted a coronation. She was running her campaign so tight, roping the media away from her, so that the only place she was vulnerable was the debates. In the end the popularity of Sanders forced Hillary to accept 'townhall debates' after the DNC ones were done. So the DNC & certain media folks worked very hard to ensure Bernie never had a chance, while Hillary did the rest keeping Elizabeth Warren out and anyone else of consequence.
Bottom line, the Dems really didn't elect her, she was SELECTED.
