Can I vote for Sweeney? Damn... pretty happy I'm not American and had to make a decision on those two dirtbags.

Can I vote for Sweeney? Damn... pretty happy I'm not American and had to make a decision on those two dirtbags. Epic fail by Primary voters. Makes it really tough for people like me who are not registered to a political party. So I'm looking at doing a write-in ballot for someone else. People on my list: 1. Bernie Sanders 2. Governor Sandoval (R - Nevada) 3. Don Lemon 4. Charles Manson Of course, the quality of choice is only limited by the ones who choose to run in the first place. Despite the thousands who are probably very qualified to run this country, none of them choose to take on that job. Much easier to stay where they are and enjoy their private sector lives. Probably our fault for not encouraging more qualified people to run

Tensions are extremely high between US and Russia currently and we all know what Clinton thinks of Putin. Meanwhile it might be a plus for Trump to improve relations with Russia but his constant xenophobic ranting and policies will damage foreign relations elsewhere. It's a real shame Sanders isn't on the shortlist.

Trump may well get along handsomely with Russia to begin with, but he such a loose cannon he is liable to fall out with anyone at any time. Clinton is dodgy as ****, no doubt, but she has been a high level diplomat for most of her life. So, you can have someone who is qualified with a highly questionable character (Clinton) or someone totally unqualified with a highly questionable character (Trump) Not much of a choice, but a clear choice IMO

I'd say it's a western thing. When you look closely at what he is saying and doing, it's litteraly all for the greater good.

OK I didn't go into the specifics and it's also strange that you didn't mention to bombing of hospitals and schools by UK, US and Danish jets recently. What Putin is doing in Syria is making sure the US don't repeat the mistakes of Iraq and Libya. US obviously wants to topple Assad to insert their own puppet for control of the region.

And just when you think things can't get any worse it appears this election has somehow made Scott Baio think he's relevant again.
My wife is an American but I don't think she's ever been this happy to live in Canada now, and she follows this election stuff even less than I do.

Meanwhile it might be a plus for Trump to improve relations with Russia but his constant xenophobic ranting and policies will damage foreign relations elsewhere. It's a real shame Sanders isn't on the shortlist. I'm all for improving relationships with everyone but that's a two way street. But the level of trust between the US and Russia isn't great. Neither trusts the other. There are fundamental and philosophical differences that will always keep the level of trust limited. We will never be BFFs as long as those differences exist. We can work together on a lot of things, but there isn't a great friendship waiting to blossom here. Donald Trump is not someone who is equipped to handle any kind of relationship with foreign countries, let alone Russia or even China for that matter. The guy is a natural born bullsh1tter. Talk about being someone who will tell you what you want to hear to get what he wants, it doesn't get any better than Trump. Just ask the contractors he screwed over by filing for bankruptcy on his properties. He used a loophole so he could pay them pennies on the dollar for their hard work. And he did it more than once. This isn't a guy who is in it for the country. He is in it for himself. When you have someone like that dealing with Russia or China, then you have a recipe for disaster for the USA. The worst part of him is his knee-jerk reaction to anything that does not go his way. His natural instinct is to threaten first, then *possibly* think later. He may believe what he said on those Access Hollywood tapes were "just words" - which is the core base of a bullsh1tter - but on the world stage, as the leader of this country, there is no such thing as "just words".

This is the first Presidential election in which I'm eligible to vote... I don't know whether to laugh or cry (probably both) at the options we have. Part of me wishes Deez Nuts had made it through the primaries.
