Excellent post, I hope he gets a response. That sums up exactly my thoughts. The game itself is superb but I really can't understand how certain elements of it aren't as good as what we previously had with an inferior game. It's mind boggling to me. Many people have asked about the possibility of alternate shot for ages, not only did they not put it in they also took away fourball??!!
See you later hopefully

Thank you for the link. I've added a few questions to it which are especially about how we run the RRCC Tour. I don't really expect to get any answers, but at least I've tried.

Ditto, thanks for linking. Added a few thoughts just to try and keep the thread bumped up to the top...but I won't hold my breath for a meaningful response anytime soon.

Hello, how do I join the RRCC Tour please? It's currently not running, and with the limitations societies have put on us it's hard to see how it can run until a few patches come down the line. Watch this space!

And now, the time has come, it's time to face the final curtain. Well at least for season 3 of the RRCC anyway, the future is still a bit up in the air but I have a feeling this won't be the last time you'll have to wade through one of these ridiculously long wrap-ups!
We left it at Week 34 with JeffJeter Jeff McPhee holding a slender lead in the final tournament, and canthitstraight Jimmy Kuo likewise in the season long leaderboard. Week 35 then featured:
Watani Black by Gerard Fraser Sovereign Valley G.C. by Seth Campion Robert Trent Jones Golf Club by Michael Flood
He doesn't join us often, but it's almost unfair when he does! ijs1543 Ian Sweeney sweeps in to the tour to take a convincing 6 shot victory and his 6th of the season. bassman70 Albert Fargo does his chances of catching Jimmy on the season long leaderboard no harm with a strong 2nd place finish here, and then 3rd place is shared by 3 players; in form SloanerTW Steve Sloan, the boss edi_vedder Thomas Oberholzer with his 3rd podium finish of the season, and Season 2 overall champion jtcurrent JT Current. Top Web player for the 2nd time was cf19 Karl Foley in 21st place. The RRCCC tournament win was shared by Paul Winky Winkworth and Dug Riddler Dug Riddler, both finishing in the top 40 on the main leaderboard while they were at it, and for Dug his 2nd win at this level. monsieurprawn Kendrick Morgan took 3rd.
So as we moved in to the final week of the season the tournament leaderboard was tightly packed at the top. Steve Sloan now had the lead but JT Current, Albert Fargo, Mark (Kram) Mark Custard and Jeff McPhee were all within 20 points of him, and more than a few others within striking distance with the double points on offer. In the season long leaderboard Albert Fargo had cut Jimmy's lead to just 54 points, who would be crowned champion? Week 36 then featured 3 RCRs:
Muirfield 2016 by Yeltzman Congressional CC (the wrong one! ) by Michael Flood The brilliant St Andrews Links - Old Course by the one and only CLV
He led going in to the final week and did the business when it mattered, Steve Sloan takes his 2nd weekly win of the season to win his 1st tournament, very well played sir. He even had to beat a legend to do it, the always welcome blueorfe Bradley Garcia returning to the tour to take 2nd place, his 14th top 3 finish if the season. Great that we had TGC1's top 2 players join us for the final two weeks with Ian playing week 35. 3rd place was taken by a player with a bit of pedigree too, Mark Custard taking his 12th top 3 finish of the season. Top Web player for the 5th time this season was baco77 Mark Fleming, and with that he equals waltbutler Walt Butler's tally at that level. A brand new winner on our RRCCC leaderboard, smac1314 Sinclair Macleod taking his first win ahead of brianfuller75 Brian Fuller in 2nd, with Kendrick Morgan and run-away season leader stewarty5 Charlie Stewart in equal 3rd.
So as we've already seen, Steve Sloan wins the final tournament of the season, Mark Custard's strong finish sees him finish 2nd and half-way leader Jeff McPhee in 3rd. Steve's 440 points was the 2nd highest points tally of any tournament this season. In the RRCCC tournament he didn't have a great final week, but a 2nd and 2 wins in the first 3 weeks sees Paul Winkworth take the victory, with Charlie Stewart 2nd and Kendrick Morgan 3rd. And in the season long leaderboard, could Jimmy hold on? Yes he could, a 7th place finish in Week 36 enough to stay ahead of Albert Fargo who finished 12th, so many congratulations to ourSeason 3 Champion
Mr. Jimmy Kuo Very well done Jimmy, well played . Albert Fargo ran him close to finish as runner up, and blackaces13 Mike Blackman just held off Jeff McPhee to finish 3rd. In the RRCCC Charlie Stewart and Paul Winkworth finished miles ahead of the rest to finish 1st and 2nd respectively. lastchancehombre Kerry Hurst made the Web after Tournament 6 but accumulated enough points in that time to finish 3rd.
We finished with a stand alone 'Farewell To TGC1' event in Week 37 which featured 4 courses picked by the scoring team:
Fraser Country by Gerard Fraser Cuyahoga Golf Club by csugolfer Royal Burberry Black by Jordan Springer Growling Frog 2016 by rodsimo
I don't think I was the only one who made this the last tour I played on TGC1, the RRCC has always been my favourite side event and always the one where when I was getting a bit bored/frustrated with the game made me realise how much fun it was. So what a good time for someone to get their first win of the season, proteus12 Steven Garrity shooting -55 to share the win with the now deposed champion JT Current, just reminding everyone why he won last season . Albert Fargo was the only other player to get in the -50's, and equals Mark Custard's tally of 12 top 3 finishes in doing so, more than anybody else without the word 'Machine' in their name. Top Web player was Michael Duane in 28th place, but he's behind a terrific performance from our top CC player, John Powell in 25th. Shame I can't find his tag!
So that's it, thanks to all of you for your support. Special thanks to Thomas for his hard work keeping this going and fantastic course selection (mostly! ), thanks also to my fellow scorers Jimmy and JT for their dedication and work behind the scenes, to dh-nufc Dean for passing on that fantastic spreadsheet, and also to the Chief Bill Hibbard for filling in missing PS4 scores at the drop of a hat when I needed him to. But mostly thanks to all of you designers, without who this game/franchise wouldn't be anything. There will be one more post from me, a few end of season awards, and as for the future we'll just have to see what happens. It's been a pleasure

And just for a bit of fun, to follow the above final results, the RRCC end of season awards!
The 'He Shoots, He Scores' Award
1. ijs1543 Ian Sweeney - 6 weeks played, 6 wins, undisputed king of TGC1, 'nuff said. 2. blueorfe Bradley Garcia - 15 weeks played, 3 tournament wins, 8 weekly wins, 14 top 3 finishes, and always comes across as such a nice fella. 3. @happymandan Daniel Waring - 4 weeks played, 3 wins, 1 meltdown, pretty good ratio for him!
The Perfect 10 Award
blueorfe Bradley again. Tournament 4, the maximum of 500 points scored. That takes some doing!
The Above And Beyond Award
Three outstanding performances I've picked out from this season, sorry if you think I've missed one (or feel free to add one):
1. brianfuller75 Brain Fuller - CC player who obviously enjoys the game but usually struggles to make an impact on the main leaderboard, his 12th place finish in Week 17 was really something. 2. KenTremendous Matt Comley - started off the season as a CC player and you can see his results dramatically improving as the year went on. A top 3 finish in Week 29 the pick of the bunch. 3. gavlaar124 Gavin McCabe - went through a stage of smashing it out the park in pretty much every Community Event. Got his one and only win in Week 16 in a field which included Bradley Garcia, outstanding performance.
The Double
Players who have taken a win at CC level and then stepped up to do the same at Web level:
andybarrell Andy Barell KenTremendous Matt Comley marklongley1 Mark Longley cf19 Karl Foley
Nobody managed the treble but Matt's performance above is the closest to it.
The Knee Replacement Award
For those players who have climbed on to our podium at least 10 times this season:
blueorfe Bradley Garcia - 14 podiums, 8 wins bassman70 Albert Fargo - 12, 3 Mark (Kram) Mark Custard - 12, 2 jtcurrent JT Current - 11, 3 miacanes12 Rob Dallas - 10, 3 JeffJeter Jeff McPhee - 10, 2
The Steal Of The Season Award
Tournament wins are hard to come by on this tour and there are some very good players who didn't manage one. Yet somehow gazb1888 Gary Bertram won Tournament 5 despite only one top 3 finish all season. It came in that tournament along with a couple of other top 5's, a few of the big hitters didn't play all 4 weeks or had a couple of bad ones, it all fell in to place! I'd take it, a win is a win
The (Should Be) Committed Award
For those who played all 37 weeks this season, thank you for your support!
@me (had to give myself something!) canthitstraight Jimmy Kuo Championi bassman70 Albert Fargo blackaces13 Mike Blackman JeffJeter Jeff McPhee edi_vedder Thomas Oberholzer pc17 Phil Crampton RogueElement14 Colin Busch uberanto Austin Carr baco77 Mark Fleming ENAGC18 Wes Howell digsb Digs Bridgen gets his tag brianfuller75 Brian Fuller @cantfindtag Paul Bradford
Cheers!

Thanks very much Giraffe72 a great write up Congrats to all who got a win, a mention or took part in this great tour. I'm sorry that I dropped out for a while, I would have liked to have played more towards the end, but personal reasons got in the way. Thanks to edi_vedder and Giraffe72 for running this thing and jtcurrent and canthitstraight for sorting the scores out. It must be a pain without the api! If I missed anyone out who helps out with the smooth running of the tour...sorry, but thank you

Great write up as per Jamie, good stuff, and hearty congrats to canthitstraight for the overall win, richly deserved, and indeed to all organisers for all their efforts and indeed to the many of us who enjoyed playing every week. Now to get on at HB to patch in a way to allow us to continue in the new game
