It's struck me that with the increase in Pro Tour players we currently have it's becoming increasingly difficult for Challenge Circuit players to make an impression on the Leaderboard. I realise that the leaderboards aren't the main focus of this tour, but I know I'd be lying if I said I didn't like seeing points next to my name, so I've made another spreadsheet. In order to hopefully promote a bit of friendly competition and more incentive to play these great courses, there are now separate leaderboards for each week and 4-week cycle featuring Challenge Circuit players only. If people don't like it I'll happily scrap it, and I'm open to any suggestions to improve it. Currently we average around 30 CC players a week, and the initial scoring system is as follows: 1st - 50 pts 2nd - 40 3rd - 30 4th - 25 5th - 20 6th - 18 7th - 16 8th -14 9th - 12 10th - 11 And then 1 point less for every position down to 20th for the final point.
We'll keep a 4-week leaderboard like the main tour, and it'll be double points in each 4th week as well. There's no point in keeping a Season-long leaderboard because a lot of you will be promoted in the meantime (although I'll keep the option open), but what I'll try to do is if you get promoted to Web in the middle of a 4-week block you'll still score on the CC leader board until the end of that 4 weeks, so you can finish the tournament. After that you'd no longer be eligible and have to struggle like me with the professionals! The main Tour leaderboard is unaffected and all Challenge Circuit players will still feature on that too.

Think its an excellent idea and tweak - at least it gives us CC guys a little bit of glory on occasion too!

Recently promoted to the Web tour but I would have welcomed this "tweak" battling the other CC'ers before so.

Couldn't agree more. Good idea, Jamie. Thanks for all the power you put into this little project.

Thanks for the initial feedback guys, I know I would have liked it when I was in the Challenge Circuit When TGC2 comes out and we all have to do Q-School again I may well be back! In the meantime, I'm probably going to create a separate spreadsheet for this because otherwise there's going to be a million (or so) tabs on the main one. I'll then post a link to both when the results are posted. I'm hoping this gets a few more CC players involved, having a tournament within a tournament without having to battle against the likes of Jimmy and JT who shoot -40 every week!

Rumor has it that Mr. Sweeney has made his first appearance on RRCC this week in more than half a season. There goes having a chance at the gold from week to week!

JeffJeter beat him to take his win last season, no reason you can't do the same Jimmy!

Loving this week's courses! No firm this time around so lots of opportunities for everyone to score low!
Here's a couple of highlights from Taby Golf Course and Mirkwood (absolutely stunning!)

Check out the two straight sub-100% shots in the second videos and the boars. Almost 3000 rounds and my first time seeing a boar on a golf course!

Evening all, happy Friday and welcome to your RRCC results service for week 3! This week featured: J.W. Scorpions Nest (Desert) by Jason White Smuggler's Loch GC (Rustic) by Brent Gravelle Lab Moo Country Club (Boreal) by Paul Seldon Results (77 players): 1. ijs1543 Ian Sweeney (GBR, PS4) -41 2. JeffJeter Jeff McPhee (Can, XBox) -36 3. canthitstraight Jimmy Kuo (USA, PC) -35 Web Player of the Week: 19. Chief Wild Bill Hibbard (Eng, PS4) -23 CC Players of the Week: 29. can'tfindtag Gary Osborne (GBR, PS4) -20 31. alexgators1 Alex Young (USA, PS4) -19 33. andybarrell Andy Barrell (Eng, PC) -17 Digs vs Sam Watch: 29. digsb Digs Bridgen (Eng, XBox) -20 53. SAM Simon Morris (Eng, PC) -7 Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and now we have had greatness thrust upon us. WGR1 Ian Sweeney joins the party and takes a comfortable 5 shot victory over Jeff McPhee who takes his second podium spot in a row. Welcome back to the RRCC Ian! Jimmy also takes his second podium spot of the season in 3rd place, consolidating his position at the top of the 4 week leaderboard. With one week to go in this first segment of the season, Jimmy leads by 33 points over Jeff who has leapfrogged up to second place. No podiums but three top ten finishes in a row keeps dysania Jamie Fluke in 3rd place, while jtcurrent JT Current Champion™ drops just behind in 4th. With double points up for grabs in week 4 any of these could still win this first 4-week tournament, game on! A very warm welcome back to the Pride of Yorkshire, my good friend Chief Bill Hibbard who decided to turn up for the first time in months and promptly wins the Web award with an excellent top 20 finish. Nice to see you back Bill . Also a good week for Web players baco77 Mark Fleming and Griz891 Terry Anderson who shared a very respectable 35th place. I started our brand new tournament within a tournament, the RRCCC (Reviewer Recommended Challenge Circuit Cup) because CC players were struggling to make an impression on the main leaderboard and then we get 5 in the top 50! RRCC debutant Gary Osborne puts in a very impressive score to finish 29th on the main leaderboard and top of the CC one, Alex Young finishes just behind with his best performance of the season and Andy Barrell moves 16 points clear at the top of the RRCCC tournament with a 3rd place finish. MagneticPanda31 Rick Green is the man 16 points back in 2nd, with Paul Winkworth 1 further point back. Double points in week 4, again all to play for! And Ruskie, you got some points, nice 6th place finish! In our new (and probably temporary) section, Digs vs Sam Watch, Digs scores his first points of the season with a very good 29th place finish while Simon narrowly missed out finishing in 53rd place, but at least the crayolas he has supplied have been useful for writing down people's forum tags. 1-0 to Digs Three brilliant courses yet again this week, thanks to everybody for playing and we hope you enjoyed it. Full results can be found here. RRCCC results featuring Challenge Circuit players only can be found here
Bring on week 4 and our first Champions!
