Sick of the alt tabbing and getting weird graphical glitches like weird lighting and excessive brightness? Use a multi monitor setup or want to multitask? Want to stream without having to use windowed mode? And all the other issues that come with TGC on PC. It just doesn't like being Alt-Tabbed out of. Windowed mode never fits quite right and it feels a bit off from my experience. Well I came across a program a year or so ago called borderless gaming. What does it do? It spoofs fullscreen borderless mode. Some games have this as an option, but many including TGC do not have this option. When it spoofs fullscreen borderless mode it allows you to safely Alt-Tab out without fear of crashes or weird graphical issues that come with Alt-Tabbing out of normal fullscreen mode. This is great for people who Stream, Have multiple Monitors or simply want to multitask while playing TGC. Another benefit is those on lower end machines can set their resolution lower than their screen and bump it up to fullscreen. eg. I have a 1920x1080 monitor. I could choose either 1600x900 or even 1280x720 it would boost these lower resolution up to fullscreen. This would improve the performance/frame rate. Whats the cost? 2 options with the exact same outcome. You can get it free here github.com/Codeusa/Borderless-Gaming/releasesor you can suppoort the dev and buy if for under 3 pounds or $4 on steam store.steampowered.com/app/388080I did a quick little video showing you how to set it up and stuff here. Hope this helps. Any questions feel free to ask below.

A big thank you to Gdog for pointing out a solution to the bounce to desktop that I'd not even considered. Thus far the results are astonishing, in that I've gone from averaging a dozen or more drops to desktop per week (generally resulting in golf.exe crashing as well) to a number as close to zero as makes no difference.

I just add -popupwindow to the launch options (right click TGC in steam library -> properties). VoilĂ , borderless windowed mode.

Well I jinxed myself as I had a horror of a time with Hopeshire in the RRCC, hitting the desktop eight times in a round, including seven in the first four holes. Must be something about that course though as I've not had any other difficulties since running Borderless Gaming.

Gdog,
Borderless Gaming worked great for me. TGC worked fine until I alt tabbed out tonight to do something on my PC before playing a round. After that I was stuck with the borders. It's an immersion killer for me. I don't use windowed mode for any games.
Thanks!

Good stuff. Everytime I finish a round and want to enter my score, I have to alt+F4 as alt tabbing out of the game and back in drops my fps to about 10-15 and gives me those horrible glitches
