At Nevada,
I will give a proper response when I get off work, but for now I just have two things to say:
Every illegal immigrant here in the usa is by default a criminal, hence the "illegal" tag
Simply stating an argument is "stupid" has never won any argument.
And an extra thing: Them leaving to avoid the max, also accomplishes the goal. Nobody will miss them, and they would not be taking everything with them either.

I'm sorry Nevada... I didn't call them morons because they vote for democrats.. I called them morons because they vote for democrats, dont like the outcome, move to a conservative state, and keep voting for democrats.. LOL lol.. I'm sure they didn't move to change Texas from red to blue One thing i forgot to mention in regards to your Jefferson quote. He is also the same guy who wrote "all men are created equal", yet he was a slave owner. Ok, I need to take a few minutes for some of my own perspective and for the record, I am and have been registered as non-affiliated for decades. This country was born into it's own hypocrisy (as witnessed by the Jefferson comment). I do feel, however, that the intentions behind the early framework of America was created in a way where it has been up to future generations to build towards that "more perfect union". Every decade we've been through, and will continue to go through, unprecedented challenges that we need to figure out. Some on the fly, others through just realizing the common sense of it all. We can look back in time and ask, when WAS America great? And if we choose a specific time period and we want to make it "great again" like that time period, there would be issues from that time where we'd all say, "oh yea, except for that sht". That includes this moment in time right now. But herein lies the rub - building towards a more perfect union. In order to continue building that more perfect union and remain enjoying the freedom that Old Glory represents, we need to do a better job choosing political leaders. Although we have the right to vote, we really suck at it. I attribute that to having a political party system where running for office means that you damage your opponent's dignity. Attack this, attack that, make up stuff if you have to. Keep saying it until people who really know better end up believing you anyway. Politics is a dirty ass game man. It's so dirty that people who would be INCREDIBLY qualified to lead this country won't even consider running for any office. But, with as dirty and scummy and corrupted and disgusting as American politics have been since Day 1in 1776......... ......... we are a better country socially, economically, militarily and globally than we were 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 years ago. And we will continue to be better because of our framework. We have a REALLY good Constitutional foundation. It's amazing actually. It's the only reason why we've been able to keep this experiment going. I like being a part of this experiment. I enjoy discussing policies and law. I am proud to have the right to do so without repercussion of my government. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else in the world but The United States of America. Go 'Merica!

And so is everyone who smokes pot where it isn't legal. So we need to round them all up and throw them in jail. If you want to use the "criminal", "broke the law" argument, then be prepared to be consistent with it across the board. Saying that Max Wages is stupid did win that. And it wasn't an argument.

And I'll add this, which goes in line with what Griff said earlier. The US Government cannot and will not put a $ cap on how much my hard work is worth. That would be government oppression and there would be a vast amount of people exercising their 2nd Amendment rights against an oppressive government.

I'm sure they didn't move to change Texas from red to blue Well, that is exactly what is going to happen.. It's unbelievable how many people have moved to Texas from New York, Illinois, Michigan, and California the past 15 years to get away from high taxes.. ......... we are a better country socially, economically, militarily and globally than we were 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 years ago. And we will continue to be better because of our framework. Totally disagree with this statement.. The 1980's will go down as Americas glory years.. Our morals and common sense have gone to hell.. We are becoming what Jefferson warned against.. A nation full of ignorant people.. And we are more divided right now than we have been since the civil war..
I respect what you have to say and the way you are saying it.. But I just don't agree with everything you mentioned and that's fine.. That's the way America is.. We don't have to agree..

At Nevada,
This will be the last of our dialog as it not going anywhere with the "stupid" comments with nothing backing it up.
@ everyone else:
A hypothetical question:
A large object was headed for earth made up of unknown material(s). Our top scientists had no answer for it, and our world leaders made a pledge to the entire world:
Find the answer on how to stop this object from destroying our planet and we will pay you as much money as you want. No limits
You found the answer, your plan worked, how much are you going to choose to get paid? 0-100%, choose wisely

No limits You found the answer, your plan worked, how much are you going to choose to get paid? 0-100%, choose wisely I did add further comment about it that didn't include stupid (oppressive government oversight). Just to be clear, I'm not saying YOU are stupid, just that idea itself. I apologise if it came across that way, it wasn't meant to. On the contrary, I think you are a pretty bright dude. So let me address the max wage in a more explanatory way. First, instituting a max wage would kill the spirit of innovation. Why would any private investor put his money into anything worthwhile if his ROI is will be shredded? Nothing would be made in America and millions of jobs would be lost. Second, It also sets a bar for mediocrity. "You can only make this much money for your hard work" would create a mindset that is also capped. It's a dream killer. Third, which is contradictory to something else you wanted - getting rid of the IRS - you wanted 100% of everything over the cap to be a tax, forfeited to Uncle Sam. So give the money to the government instead. Really? There's more but I think that is plenty. I also left comment on some of your other line items, please feel free to discuss those as well.

If I was the president of America I would personally execute all murders rapists pedophiles and any other criminals who just plain deserve it. I would put all the medium offence criminals in one monster prison and fill the rest of the prisons with the homeless.
Then I would make my secretary swallow the evidence and resign with a smile on my face.
So many problems solved minimal effort.

If I was president of America I would pump poison gas into all public buildings and restart the country from scratch.

Just learned that under 7% of private sector workers have unions in the US. What's your thoughts on unions and workers rights?

Just learned that under 7% of private sector workers have unions in the US. What's your thoughts on unions and workers rights? We had a real problem in this country during the 20's, 30's, 40's and 50's of workers being abused by corporations and management. It is in large part what is happening in other early industrializing nations currently. Unions had value, they brought solidarity and added value to the workers platforms because the requests were unified and the voices were forced to be heard. In general all good things.
As seems to happen in this country with dozens of platforms, the pendulum had swung too far (imo) and pry will swing back too far in 100 years again. Many unions don't protect employees from oppressive employers, rather in many cases they protect sub-standard workers from free market removal. Unions still have a place to help maximize the leverage of the worker, but in way too many instances they protect weak workers and tie up corporations in ways that are bad for a growing economy. If you are bad at you job, that should be documented and in a reasonable time let go if you don't improve your level of work. My sister and mother are teachers, and while I realize that is an obvious issue area for unions, the fact remains they work with people who have no business being in front of a classroom but the district can do nothing about removal.
Many large trade unions have grown into exactly what I hate about government (and even some charitable organizations). They are giant resource swallowing overhead. The union (or govt) grows and grows making itself bigger, bloated, more expensive and leaves little benefits for the people it is chartered to benefit.

Would you the majority of US citizens are in favor of unions and do you feel that the swing is on its way back to the left?
