I think you might have nailed it better than Bobby Jones and his successors did... ? playing it without a grid it's the mean sob it's supposed to be. Publish the damn thing, it's perfect. I already gave the beta a 10.

Played it a 3rd time. Overall play it well but could only manage 7 under. Finally played #7 well and birdie it. Hit a bad tee shot on 13 and had to settle for a Par (eagle it both times before). I just love this course.

Played it last night with wind indicator off and no grids. It was a beast! Finished 1-over. 9th hole hit 3w off the tee (for some reason) and ended up in left rough. Next shot was a bomb of a 4i from 171 out...dead at pin, hit it and stopped inches away. Saved that hole!
12th hole, had a head wind but couldn't tell how much. Was nerve wracking hitting tee shot over water which came up short and bounced back in the water!
It played great, thought the greens firmness/speed were perfect. I'm sure with grids on it gets easier but that's just the way it goes with this game. Nothing I saw stuck out so to me it's done and ready for prime time.
Really enjoyed my round - everything looked just like it does on TV which is all I have to go by.

Thanks everyone for giving this a try and leaving your feedback! I'm pasting in my post below from the HB thread regarding my plans going forward:
Hey everyone, thanks for taking the time to play the Beta and leave your feedback! I'm glad to hear that it seems to be holding up ok, and I'm also happy to report that whatever server issues were occurring yesterday appear to be fixed, as I was finally able to access my published file this morning.
I watched a bunch of highlights this morning to do more research on pin locations, and also gave dlw's PS4 tournament a spin. Shot -2 with 2 disappointing pars on 13 and 15. You really do have to take advantage of those holes and come away with no less than a 4.
I think I'm going to try to take a break today, as hard as that is, and watch football most of the day while I recover from last night. I have one more day tomorrow of "working from home", which is where I got most of my progress finished this week. If all goes as planned, I'll be releasing a slew of courses tomorrow.
There will be 4 tournament editions, Thursday-Sunday, and then a Casual Round version which is softer and slower with some of the less dangerous pins. I will also get a full Members Tee edition over to the ProTee guys.

Absolutely amazed! Played it five times in a row!!! Tried to really find things to fix or change, but couldn't! 9 green Kicked my butt a couple of times. Overall I give it an A++! and thats just the test edition...

Getting ready to play the full 18. I played an earlier test version and hit a ball right of the hole and short on 12 and kicked left onto the green. Remember any ball right of pin (except Fred Couples) runs down into the pond. Not sure I can recreate that shot but the difficulty of 12 is water short and bunker and flowers long left. Middle of the green is the smart play. Loved the 9th green. Thanks for a great re-creation!

I played this course last night. What a great course with a lot of hard work put into it! I shot even par thanks to a pin shot second shot on 18. Ninth hole was very frustrating though. Putted off the green and had a couple of shots from the front of the green spin off the green back to my feet. That's a good challenge however. Does anyone know if HB is looking into ways where tees and pin placements can be customized similar to how Links 2003 did? That would be a great feature to add so we could play all the traditional hole locations of the Masters. Again, great work on this course!

I found that is maybe was better to lay my tee-shot somewhat short, to get a mid-iron in, to avoid spinning of the green. Exellent, just like I seen it on Tv. Btw, I think Clv made 4 different setups, with the 4 different pin-positions from the Masters-setup.

I saw that Andrew, so I'll try it out sometime. I just wish in general that HB could do something so the course makers don't have to make a whole new course for each round in terms of tees and pin placements.
