When I make my next course, which will be Merion East, I plan on doing some tutorials as I make progress. They most likely won't be video, though, as I haven't had much success recording on my PC. All new pics are up at the HB forum of my progress through the 16th hole... too many new pics to post here right now: www.hb-studios.com/forum/index.php?topic=8093.0

I have just released "MNGA Test 2" for testing all 18 holes. I would like feedback more than anything else on the difficulty. This version is meant for tournament play, with Sunday pins. I would like the course to play as difficult as possible, but while still staying true to the course. At the end of the day, Augusta may just be too vulnerable to video game golf, so there is only so much you can do to make it hard.
With that said, my last 2 test rounds were E and +1, so it's not a pushover. I do plan on making a version for a more casual round of golf later on, so if you find the course too hard, do not despair.
A last note... I hit the planting limit on the 18th hole. I was able to rearrange some things to make the 18th presentable, but for the long term I will need to continue rearranging things in order to make everything look as accurate as possible. So for now, still consider this a work in progress and a little ways away from a final release.

I think you nailed it pretty good. You may or may not want to go by the score I just laid down on it to adjust difficulty, I played pretty good and putted better. It gave me the Augusta fire in my belly, great course, great job.
Not sure what you can do to increase the difficulty of those greens anymore, but firmness, I'm fairly certain it would add a few strokes if you increased that. I'm not sure you want to do that or not, TBH I'm not certain I would even suggest it. But the better players will go pretty low with the current conditions, I doubt they can go low for 4 rounds though, there's plenty of trouble there. With that said, great play on the real McCoy gives low scores as well.
Your decision, I like it the way it is right now. The community will not receive firmer conditions very well there, so Congrats on a job well done. But firmer conditions will give the Augusta roll outs better, the ball dropping and stopping is not overly Augusta like. So I'm tossed up here. Glad it's not my decision.
Adjust your lighting, change the name and publish. I think you nailed all there is to nail there.
The masters should be yours, it has my vote, but I have no vote, should not have a vote either TBH.
Thank you for doing this.

First don't change the firmness or the speed of the greens. Currently the greens reward good shots. Shots that are off a little will either roll off the green or a good ways away from the pin. (Perfect set-up) IMO Good scores will be shot but so will bad ones. I'm a fan of Yeltzman's versions but this is even better. Now for my round, only managed 1 under on the front birdie both par 5's but bogey # 7. My approaches weren't good enough on the front 9. Play a lot better on the back 9. Hit a bad drive on #10 ended up in the heavy rough right side but flop in on my 3rd shot for birdie. Hit a good shot on #12 for a birdie. Hit an even better approach on #13 to set up an eagle. Birdie 15,16 & 17 to shot 7 under on the back. (8 under total) A+
My vote for Augusta As long as you don't change the firmness.

Just finished my round at -7, with a couple of bad bogeys, from landing on wrong side. With the limitiations that we currently have, maybe 18 plays to long? I couldnt reach the bunkers with my drive, but then again I had 3 mph headwind, I guess that has something to do with it. But even then I think that those bunkers should be in play? Other than that, firmness on greens is perfect. Pins are really REALLY nice, and rewards good approaches, and penalizes (penalices, penalicez??) stray shots. You nailed hole 10 and 12, thought maybe there was something strange about approach area on 11, but cant put my finger on it. Absolutely my favourite, obviously it should be the Major course.

Love it so much I had to play it again. 1 stroke better this time (9under) #7 has my number bogey it the 1st time double it this time Play 13 great again another eagle plus a flop in on 15 for a 2nd eagle of the round. Doing my damage on the Par 5's ( 5 birdies & 3 eagles in the two rounds). Also you can reach the 18 hole bunkers off the tee. Had a slight tailwind and was right next to them. Again great job & please don't change the firmness.

Love it! I had the feeling i was actually playing the Masters and that was very special. I was -4 thru 16 but two bogeys at the end made for a disappointing round.
