I eentered web.com about 1 month earlier then you. I'm ranked 70th on the money list. I guess you just have to play better. Just play the damn tournament and proof you're worthy of the web card.
Or as you propose: play the q school well and earn your card. (i dont see a difference so why change it?)

Wags, the -46 at Q school is impressive, but you did that without the pressure of playing it as a tournament. What we will never know is what you would have shot if you played it currently with the pressure of earning a card. Maybe you would have been -56. The fact is, Q school results are an approximation of where you should land, but the tournament results themselves tell the whole story. You mentioned the possibility of having a bad tournament, and that can happen in Q school too. So a player who lands in a lower tour because of a bad showing will eventually end up where they belong. I'm sitting close to the bubble on Euro. I've only played in 18 events and had mixed results. That's on me. Especially the part where I had a top 20 finish and never reported the rounds. Or that other super fun time where I posted a bad score and got DQ'd when I would have easily made the cut. (I'm a moron) If I have to battle it out to stay on Euro, so be it. I should have 1. got promoted sooner through my play on Web, or, 2. finished higher when I got promoted. If I end up in Web, I will be back in Euro as soon as I can be, and will probably be a better player for the experience. (or at least one who doesn't forget to post scores) Take what comes your way, and try to get better from it. These are the rules. They are the right rules, the mirror the real tours. Accept it and move on. Your obviously good enough to be on web, so if you go back to CC, it won't be for long.

Accept it and move on. Your obviously good enough to be on web, so if you go back to CC, it won't be for long. Yeah, I'm not really sweating it anymore. I'm over the whole "prestige" thing. It was nice for a while but then missing half the cuts and essentially being a so-so Web player kind of took the fun out of it. I mean it's like, "So what? I'm just another Web player in a sea of 'em and not a very good one at that." It puts things into perspective. Ultimately, what is is it that I really enjoy? The answer to that is simple. I enjoy playing this game. In fact, it's pretty much the only one I play regularly. Virtual golf itself has been my favorite type of game since the 80s when virtual golf sucked. Well, I can enjoy the game anywhere. Web, CC, wherever. What I find most enjoyable, believe it or not, is the community. I love hanging out with you guys and chatting. Some days its more fun than playing. Well, I can do that from any of the tours. I've kind of come full circle. When I first joined, I just wanted to play and improve. Didn't really matter where I ended up. Web was never even a consideration. Well, that's all I want to do now. Play and improve. And since I'll never be perfect and WGR 1, there will always be that room for improvement, which means that there will always be a challenge and I will always enjoy playing. So now with all that pressure off of me, which is why I think I did well at Q School to begin with, maybe I actually will start to improve and ultimately end up wherever I'm going to end up. I still don't want to play in the PGA. I don't like those courses. For me, they're not fun. But if I end up there someday, I'll make the best of it. Looking forward to season 3. If nothing else, it won't be dull.

There are a bunch of folks just like you Wags.. I played a Web event a month or so ago at the TPC Boston for fun.. I would have finished that Web Event in the top 20.. I also played the first two rounds of this last Web Event and would have made the cut by 3 or 4 shots.. I have yet to touch Web.. I am still on CC-A and have not earned a chance to play on Web.... WGR 475 (higher than yours).. I have not earned my Web Card.. You did.. It's much easier to play a tour when it really don't count.. No pressure.. Make that tourney at TPC Boston count and I probably leave a putt short.. Get mad, and don't shoot as well as I did..
You played the CC event this week and shot -41 which beats me by 2 shots.. You had no pressure because it did not count.. If you went through Q School again and earned a PGA/Euro card.. You would struggle and not make any cuts.. They are on another level up there.. Wags, you are right where you are supposed to be right now..

I'm not in the top 140 (actually subtracting innactives I'm exactly at 140 right now but we know that'll change before end of season) and, as you said, with pressure, who knows where I'll be after the CC year end. In reality, right now I'm kind of in limbo between Web and CC. Season 3, week 1, that's when I'll know. And wherever it is, I'll make the best of it.

You will have the opportunity to redo q school once tgc2 comes out. We are all just playing on borrowed time for the next 10 months or so.
