I'm surprised by the stance taken from the admin team here. Whilst for the majority who won't be fussed about coming 56th and would move to 55th, this is a case of taking a win away from someone. If 'Bryan' didn't exist, I'd have won two more trophies and Mike one.
People have used some examples, I presume college basketball or something in USA, the other side is the Olympics. In real life, if someone one had cheated, their medal would be taken off them and the order would shuffle. 4th would get a Bronze retrospectively. Let's say this happened two weeks later. The olympics for us has passed and Bryan/Steve had won Gold. What would you do?
I appreciate the admin team have lives to live, but don't be getting tetchy because we are simply asking for what we feel is the right thing to do. You've created this successful model, and it is possible to fix this. I'd expect fixing a leaderboard and the trophies to match isn't all that bad. It's weird how you seem so surprised that we would want to be acknowledged for the wins we should have.
And I couldn't give a sh%$ if Steve/Bryan won those weeks, the point is he shouldn't have been there in the first place. Bryan Boomer needs wiping from the map.

Can you adjust the money winnings for me I should have made an extra $300 in virtual winnings because he helped make me miss two cuts because of him taking part lol.

Did I miss something? This is for fake trophies and fake money right? Do you guys really want me to spend 2/3 hours away from my family and other obligations to readjust and reallocate some fake money and trophies? Wow. tim makes a good point guys. its not borrowed time from us, its from him and staff. i know i would not want to toss away a few hours of my free time to do that stuff. especially when it was caused by somebody who did not follow rules. |

Tim's got it nailed. There are plenty of examples for both sides of the argument. NCAA just vacates the wins while the Olympics will removed the Gold Medalist, get the medal back and send it out to the 2nd place person, ect. Point is if it were as easy as removing a name and having everything autocorrect, I'm sure Tim would do it. Unfortunately the site isn't coded as such. There are so many things from each tournament to have to look at, as well as things like fedex points that would have to be recalculated for EVERYONE in every tournament from the point of the correction forward. All for what? If Steve had done won last week, no big issue but there has been too many tournaments to fix to make it worth while. For practical purposes, Boomer did play, he did win and didn't cheat in those times. Technically he shouldn't have been in those tournaments but he was, it did happen. So the decision is to simply stop him from continuing. Vacating those victories really doesn't mean much and would take far too much time on a site where we are playing with fake money. That being said, I'm all for just adding two trophies to the second place person if it makes them feel better, but if you do this, don't you also have to then change their money earned, their points, ect to be fair? And if you do it for them you have to do it for everyone? The original Masters was a unique situation where Steve was found to have cheated before a lot of time had passed. It was a major and thus it was fairly easy to go back and rectify. This time is a lot more work and difficulty. A certain line comes up from a couple movies: "Let it go." |

You say he didn't cheat, and then say he had no right to be part of those tournaments in the first instance. So, in fact, he did cheat. If i put on a wig, go win the Womens 100M Gold, and one year later they find out i'm a man, do i still deserve the medal because i was the fastest on the day, or should it be taken from me because i had no right to run the race in the first place? |

I get that peeps might want to claim what they feel is rightfully theirs had Boomer physically cheated again - used a straight shooter/auto pilot putter/score scrubber or what ever they think of next.
But, as far as I understand it, Boomer never cheated his way to his wins. Basically won fair and square on the day - except perhaps he was supposed to sit out for a while longer.
