so i have an question on the matter exploits CAN we catch does doing this today ? can you say all members are clean up on today or is there still doubts in what API can see ?....... Pretty much there are APIs for just about everything out there. Simple answer, yes. HB had this up and knew about it before the Master's and gave TGCT the ability to check things out as well as the coding to get scoreboards, check straight shots, and more.

For those of you that weren't around for the Steve2golf era and were wondering how much a part of the community he was back then before his suspension - best example I can think from the current era is BoomBoom.

Just waking up and wanted to vouch for bright tails post. Pretty much sums up the 2015 masters fiasco the best way possible. Thank you, sir. for some reason I can't put my finger on, I find the need to give a big shout-out thank you to Mr Duncan for this. I'm gonna go ahead and put a Brighttail patch on that green jacket

I prefer to play with my group of XB guys who are honest players and not concern myself with some PC guy with a straight edge or server exploit. This sums up my feelings exactly. All I know for sure is that gfoss1986 Kenny hmammoth @brownief104 pablo lewis9 and Tal don't cheat. We all play together regularly. Live and in person. Honestly as much as I love what TGCT are doing here, thosee matches are much more meaningful and fun. At least for me. I get to talk to the guy I'm playing against, and often we play turn based stroke play. I guess my question to the powers that be would be: How do you plan to ensure that a level playing field exists for everyone involved? I know this is a tall task. I know there will always be cheaters and that it's difficult to detect and isolate them. But you guys have a good thing going here. You have people donating real world dollars, which is a great thing, because it takes real world dollars to keep the servers up and running. I would just hate to see this place lose steam and possibly even cease to be because of a lack of confidence in the integrity of the results.

My view is anyone of the "top" players who isn't willing to live Twitch stream their rounds (at least occasionally) or is isn't willing to play versus "live" opponents is a cheat. And my view is that your view is completely and utterly ridiculous. There you go everyone. Free Speech at work and not a ........ in sight Yep, it's not like one the the "top" players wasn't caught cheating once and then got away with additional cheating for over a year.....that sure brings credibility to the tours, not to mention the many others who've been caught for various infractions, but you keep on believing in the honest player. IIRC some South American player was banished to the web.com tour for cheating, won tournaments there (how is that fair in any way?), was promoted back up and got caught cheating yet again. I'm just telling you how I see it mate, guys who stream (especially regularly like bugsy, doubtful, seamount, canuck, doyley etc) their rounds have nothing to hide. I'm just a cynic I suppose. Keep drinking your koolaide.

This thread is more fun than shooting a smurf from a cannon. Brilliant thread alright it's great that the guys went against their policy of naming and shaming cheaters too. Fed him to the lions and rightfully so :-)

Obviously they have an edge for ghost balls etc. I don't trust it they can boot up the tour as a guest or on a different profile and play the tournaments each week. Just my opinion but it baffles me why someone would want to have 3 copies of the game unless they were looking for an advantage

I don't know man but for me golf has always been game of honor. When I'm out there playing in real world, I don't cheat. Ok I understand that this is video game bla bla bla..but at least everyone who actually plays golf in real life will be playing this game without cheating i guarantee that. Dunno how many here plays golf irl but I want to believe that all guys play fair and if they don't Im just like: '' Fck that, it's his loss and if he wanna win with cheating so be it''.

Cheating is like those who create malware for computers. There will always be cheating. There will always be ways to cheat in this game, some that the admin can't police (like using rubber bands and a sliding clamp on a controller). The admin can only concentrate with what they have the ability to see and even then that is not always enough. If if makes any of you feel any better, the amount of data that HB gets from each one of us is insane.
The moment you log in, they can see everything about your computer/control box. Every shot that you take that information is saved. HB doesn't give all its information to TGCT but if you have a question about a shot you saw someone take, you could ask Anthony to go look on a specific course, for a specific name, on a specific hole for a specific shot and he can pull it up and scrub EVERYTHING about that shot, the ip it came from, the type of controller/mouse/computer it was taken on, how long it took them to take the shot, how far a person pulled back the mouse/controller, how fast they pushed it forward, how far off they were from center down to the fourth to sixth digit and so on and so forth. Best of all if HB sees something that affects the TGCT (they play here too) they have in the past said something to the admin.
Can they catch everything? No. Can the admin here be expected to catch everything? No. But they can watch patterns. When someone suddenly is better than they have ever been, it probably means someone did some checking on that person. I mean is there really a reason to check someone for cheating if they didn't make the cut?
Then there is the whole issue of what constitutes cheating? Following Ghostballs? Having 3 copies one for each platform? Is that cheating? Loading up multiple games from multiple copies to get an idea how more ghosts are playing? It is a fine line of unethical vs cheater.

Your results alone would put you under the largest microscope. You would have to be mad to cheat. I'm more referring to confidence in general. Things like this are pretty demoralizing for the rank and file players on the top tours. No offense intended.
