forgive me if I sound ignorant but I don't understand. I go to surfaces and then select the round green then click on a start point and then click on an end point and that's about it. Sorry if it's vague but I am when it comes to course design. Thanks
You sound like you're creating a hole the "old fashioned way.".
1.) Go to Layout
2.) Go to Greens
3.) Find the "size" option and lower it all the way down.
4.) Back out, go to Fairways
5.) Find the width option, lower it all the way down.
6.) Back out, go to Rough and Deep Rough (That may not be what the option is called but you get the idea.)
7.) Find the width option for both rough and deep rough. Lower these as well.
You should now have a tee box square, a red line with nothing in the middle, and a small green.
You can now go to "Create Surfaces" choose your options of Fairway, Rough, Deep Rough, and Green and layout your own course. This is how you can create a large green for your practice purposes.
I should also note that in the Layout --> (Fairway, Green) settings there is also an option for Firmness (For Both) and Speed (For Greens) these will effect your shots.
Hope this helps. Let me know if it doesnt.
