This video series is for beginning designers who are just starting out with course creation. My goal here was to make just 1 hole, but to break down that hole creation into several different aspects of hole creation, such as Bunker Placement, Rough Placement, Initial settings etc so that if you are struggling with any one particular subject, you can just jump into that particular video, still dealing with the same hole.
Disclaimers:
1.) The rules of thumb discussed in this video are my opinion and are not the be all, end all of course design.
2.) I consider myself a strong designer, but far from the best. You should also check out other videos by some of the other great designers on this forum to better your skills and learn some different ways to design your golf course.
3.) I have marked in red the videos that I think are a must watch for new designers because I believe they are the most common problems that I find or ones that I struggled with when first designing.
4.) The hole that I created can be played if you feel so inclined. It is named "One Hole Design Tutorial" and can probably be found simply by searching "Design."
5.) Finally if there is anything that needs clarification or a topic that I didn't cover that you would like to see, please let me know and I will add it using this same hole.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope these were helpful.
