Absolutely crazy that Germany have NEVER beaten Italy in a competitive match, don't think that's going to change tomorrow either.

I guess so. Just looked it up and its not that great of a stat as they've only played 8 times in tournaments. Most are draws from group stage but Italy have wins in knockout stages.

I remember being amazed that the World Cup Final of 2002 was the first ever time that Germany had played Brazil in a World Cup match given the amount of times both nations had qualified and gone on to reach finals. Must be because of the hot and cold balls FIFA used in the drawings

I'll stick with my initial prediction at the outset of the tourney. Germany to be European champions! Italy's success so far in France is highlights the fact that if you play as a team, believe in the system u play & take your chances then you always have a chance.. Very avg Italian team in terms of genuine class players, but their desire & know how on how to get results is admirable to say the least!

Well played Wales!
Talking about managers not getting results. What about Marc Wilmots? Now that's a team with loads of talent and nothing to show for it. Hodgesons lack of results pale in comparison.

I get the feeling the lesson from this years tournament is the word TEAM! Epic performance from Wales... go on lads, win it for the Brits and inspire an England WC win in 2 years time (lol... as if ) Did I say my Nan is part Welsh (true story)

Ah well, congrats Wales, hope you do it!

Who's the next manager supposed to be? All I've heard is Southgate to be a stop gap for a year until the FA can get the man they want in 12-18 months time?

Was rumoured to be that with Wenger the target.... But I can't see it and Southgate apparently doesn't want it. I think he probably won't want it at this stage with it being so poisonous... Could destroy his managerial career. Personally, Hoddle for me with some ex England players such as Shearer as wing men

Oh my, hope not......still right up his alley, get out the group stage and crash out at the first knockout game
I'd be OK with Hoddle, although I do remember we had some lousy performances against the likes of Bulgaria and Sweden before he got the boot for his beliefs interview.
