Haha. Probably not no... Iniesta mot as much maybe, but still plenty. Pelle got a yellow on a dive from fabregas mid field. So unnessesary. Spain does not need to act that way. They are skilled enough without it. Can you explain why Spanish players always crowd the refs? Pathetic. Sadly it works.. De Gea has been amazing btw. I can't find the explanation myself, and more than the diving, which I don't like, I hate the obsession the players have about following the ref when they don't like the calling. I never saw one ref change his mind because of that pressure. Anyway, great game by Italy, they fully deserved the win. De Gea is a great keeper, IMO he can be better than Casillas, if he keeps focused on his job |

I'm looking forward to the match tonight, I've got England to win 1 - 0. I'm confident of the victory but not so much against France.
I can see the Italy/Spain match going to pens, and if so then it's anyone's guess who will end up going through.
170 points ahead I see, come on boys and girls, at least try make it a competition.

Wonderful stuff from England!
Rashford did more in 5 mins than the rest of them in 90. Hodgson sits in a trance and doesn't put him on until the 85th minute??
What an absolute disgrace - it's back to watching a good rugby team for me. Enough is enough!

Worst England performance I've ever seen. Hodgson should and will be sacked immediately. Sterling shouldn't be picked for England again until he remembers how to actually play football, he's like a headless chicken as soon as he gets near the box, and Hart should be dropped and Forster be the new number one.
Why on earth constantly pick that waste of space Sterling?
Why take and play Sturridge/Wiltshire who have been injured for most of the year?
Why have Kane taking bloody free kicks?
What's the point in bringing Rashford on with only 5 minutes left? Give him 20 at least, not f'n 5!
I could go on and on... 20 years of this just reminds me why I care so much more about Man Utd then I do England.
Simply pathetic.

I am involved in a prediction game at work but I'm not leading that, although I am in joint second place so here's hoping. I got zero points from these two games, although I suspect most people did. |

Iceland was closer to 3-1 than England was 2-2. Perfectly executed game strategically.
England plays without passion. Fans and players alike just thinks they are way better than their opponents. Someone said that England has as much talent as Germany. Don't make me laugh...

New manager,hopefully Harry Redknapp,a new defence (or any defence at all) the end of Rooney,who has played well but was awful tonight. Sterling deported,young excellent players like Rashford PLAYED!
Oh,and Hart dropped for good.

What I've just witnessed is beyond belief! An absolutely shocking performance from England! Their showing was like that of a Sunday league team. Hodgson certainly made a few gaffs 2nite, why did Sterling start!? Vardy probably should have started over Kane.. And Rashford should have come on 10-15 mins earlier. Rooney should have bein off a lot earlier too. Where was Ross Barkley!? Creative player & Fraser Forster should have be England's no.1 gk in this tourney IMO.
Having said that, the English players crumbled 2nite with the pressure.. I felt they're decision makin was brutal. Shooting on sight, terrible set pieces. And they didn't look like scoring. Iceland defended well.. And overall deserved their win..
Didi Hamann is 1 of the pundits on Irish tv tonight covering the game.. He's saying the Prem lge is an avg lge & (champions lge form of english clubs says he's right) he also said that this English team aren't good enough to do much better than they've done.. Interesting view.. The BPL is certainly over hyped BUT that being said they should still be expected to beat Iceland.
Surprised Italy beat Spain earlier. The dogged Italians do it again..

Italy were excellent,without 'star' names. Completely organised at the back and great on the break. In fact,the complete opposite to the utter sh%$ England were.
Sir Alf first won the league with Ipswich,a fantastic achievement,before leading us to a World Cup. The names in the frame according to ITV,I don't see anyone there except Wenger ,who have won much at all.
Perhaps Southgate would do a good job,who knows.

Ashamed to be English right now... I won't say much on Brexit but it is utterly ridiculous and I feel what it means to be British or English has been severely dented. Then the ray of light from the madness on our shores, the football... Nope. The weight of the country was on their shoulders and it showed. The second they realised Iceland could play football that was it. Hodgson was shocking in his decision making... Most of all not using the 3rd sub until 5mins until the end. Rashford was great and IMO would have created a goal given 20mins or more. But what hurts most is knowing that I'll probably never see us win a major tournament. We lack an identity. Germany and Italy have it, they never panic, they all know how their country plays from an early age. They carry on playing even when behind knowing they can produce. We just panic.  |
