At least I have a chance of winning my theme with two of the big dogs in other groups  Hey, I'll take Reeb on. I started a delta a while back but deleted it because I made some mistakes and accidentally saved... Try again. Even if I lose first round, oh well, it's good experience. This might delay my current countryside course though... |

Alrighty... Delta it is. I would take desert if we could use previously started courses... I have about 2 holes done on The Oasis Club. Too bad Canuck is designing. I thought I might have a slight chance of winning. I suck at contests. Reeb seems to win every contest he enters, so he's the one everyone should be worrying about. I can already predict my fate...my greens will be too difficult and it will cost me. In that case, oh crap! |

I can already predict my fate...my greens will be too difficult and it will cost me. That's one of the reason we will be rotating guest judges...it helps curb preconceived ideas about a course. Tough isn't a bad thing in my book. I mean, I'm the sick bastard that wants to put The Rookery on a CC stop and pray for 15mph winds (kinda semi intentionally using a Reeb course just for you). We're actually going back and forth between tough and and easier courses, so a tougher course isn't eliminated just because it's a CC venue. If it's a nice look course that plays well then it's a nice looking course that plays well. |

My greens are never that challenging, it's the tee shots that will define this course as a Major Championship Venue. You don't have to make it "Major" tough...this one is just for a regular weekly venue. If you win you get to go crazy and design an additional course that will be used as a Major next season. |

Ah. Thanks, but I still might make it harder than this week's. I'm seeing guys (obviously better than me) shoot -17 in a single round. Just gotta remove all 12s from my scorecard and I'm up near the early mark at -10. Hept. Bogey on 6 due to my many, many failures at a flop shot. Then putting 50 feet past the hole down the hill.

Airik3333 and I are trying to give a blend of challenging weeks (that CC-D, E, and Z aren't going to find as fun), but also throwing a course specifically to D, E, and Z on certain weeks as well. Think once every 5 weeks for both of those scenarios. The other 3 weeks we are trying to fill with courses that hit the "sweet spot"...offer some challenge to A, B, and C, but not overwhelm D, E, and Z. |
