Great stream this afternoon! Did Royal Portstewart and Clayton Ravine. Going to do it again tomorrow at 5 pm est with the original courses planned on playing today: Osprey Cove Golf Club vs Inis an Coscasur Awesome! And did you say you were going to be posting a saved version of the video to each course thread so we can watch if we aren't able to catch it live? Yea griff will post it when he makes a thread with the results. |

I will be moving 5 courses at a time every 2 days (the ones submitted first to most recent) to the "Completed Courses" forums. I have to do them in batches so we don't slam that area with courses at one time...just being fair to designers not in the contest. I'm also publicizing the contest to make sure you guys get plays.
I just want to take one more chance to say a very sincere thanks to each and every one of you. As a designer, I know full and well what it takes to get a contest course out to the masses. I commend you all on the time and effort that you all put in to make this a top notch competition. This doesn't work without you guys giving us a full plate of outstanding courses. You guys don't hear it enough, but you're the lifeblood behind TGC and a key part in what keeps it running.

Griff, thanks for inviting me into the contest and "forcing" me to finally tackle that Desert Theme. I think the format is great and I look forward to seeing it all play out.

I suck at contests. Reeb seems to win every contest he enters, so he's the one everyone should be worrying about. I can already predict my fate...my greens will be too difficult and it will cost me. That's one of the reason we will be rotating guest judges...it helps curb preconceived ideas about a course. Tough isn't a bad thing in my book. I mean, I'm the sick bastard that wants to put The Rookery on a CC stop and pray for 15mph winds (kinda semi intentionally using a Reeb course just for you). We're actually going back and forth between tough and and easier courses, so a tougher course isn't eliminated just because it's a CC venue. If it's a nice look course that plays well then it's a nice looking course that plays well. I simply remember this from early on. Figured build a course and let the chips fall. The last contest court I built was Harbour Pointe. I knew that wouldn't fly here. Haha. |

No idea if I'll get this out or not. I have a good excuse: Eleanor was born an hour and a half ago. 19.5 inches and 8lb 6.7 oz Congratulations! My first was born on 8/8! 21.5" 7lb. 9 oz. |
