And yet ... You wonder why HOCKEY is still the Classiest sport on the planet?
At the end of the hard fought series battle ... the combatants return to center ICE and shake hands leaving in friendship ... even if they want to kill each other for 60 minutes of game time ...

25 years to get to the Stanley cup, then they miss the bus and don't show up to play ....
Sharks dug themselves a hole and if they can't win the next two at home .... may as well book their tee times early ... It might be another 25 years ...

Not that it has any relevance to this series but in 2011 the Bruins lost games 1 and 2 on the road. Game 1 was lost on a goal late in the third and game 2 was lost in OT. Not saying the same thing will happen again but thus far the script has been very similar, so the series isn't over yet.
I don't watch hockey if the Bruins aren't involved but I would be happy to see Thornton finally win a Cup.

Well the Sharks would do themselves and their loyal fans justice , if the would simply forfeit game 5 ...
Stay Home and book tee times ... no reason to fly back to Pittsburgh ... if tonight is all you got to bring to the ICE, especially at home in front of those that could afford the price of the Jacked up prices on the ticket that was available.
The performance was not that of a team wanting to WIN, any way possible. More like a pathetic display of amateur hockey dominated by a team that came in it to win it.
How the sharks managed to beat the Blues is beyond me.
Congrats to Pittsburgh, the Penguins and their fans ... Maybe in another 25 years the sharks will get another chance ...
