Sharks will devour Nashville in 5. They took a beating in game 7. Sharks are going to feast on the scraps... I'd be surprised if SJ and Smashville don't go 6+ games.

Sharks will devour Nashville in 5. They took a beating in game 7. Sharks are going to feast on the scraps... I'd be surprised if SJ and Smashville don't go 6+ games. Not me .... I have a good feeling about this season and this year ... Sharks have played well and gained good momentum at the end ... I loved the way they played 85% of the game against the KINGs. winning that series in style. The top players have all played well, and the young guns managed to ring the bell as well. I think this team is running on all cylinders and believing that the Cup is already theirs. If I were a Predator fan, I would pray the sharks home Ice bad habits, bites them in game one, in combination with their long wait for the victor of ducks/preds. But if it wasn't for that ... I would say SWEEP. And the Sharks want to Win this series on HOME ICE, in front of their FANS (which I am desperately trying to save up cash for game 5 tickets) !!! But once again, I have been speaking this dream for 25 years ... so ... I don't exactly have high hopes ... I know the meaning of the word "choke" all too well ... Being a post-season Sharks fan is the toughest team to love in the NHL playoffs ... Disappointment is the norm ... and Lord Stanley has not blessed the Fans of his presence ... At least this disappointment is shared with 5 other teams: Columbus Blue Jackets, Winnipeg Jets, Phoenix Coyotes, Minnesota Wild and ... Nashville Predators (which is unfortunately not happening this year either) LOL

I am not counting out the Preds yet. I am actually rooting for SJ, but I think this could be a long series. would not be surprised to see it 2-2. Rinne can shut anyone down. Still hurts to see Brett Burns tearing it up when we traded him for a very stale Setoguchi... Thank goodness for Charlie Coyle or it would have been the worst trade ever...

Personally, I'd like them to drop one in smashville. .. so they come back to SJ for game 5 and win
But the sharks have the best on the road record in the league. .. so sweeping preds is very possible!

I should have been following this thread for weeks, but I really didn't have high expectations for the Rangers this year. Despite finishing with over 100 points while playing in the stacked Metro division, the advanced metrics for this team were terrible. It all came to the forefront in an embarrassing fashion as they no-showed for most of the series. I was really impressed by Conor Sheary and the improvement of Brian Dumoulin and Ian Cole.
The Islanders, on the other hand, tanked their last two games - including the season finale at Barclay's center - to "earn" their way into the much easier Atlantic division bracket. A buddy of mine bought tickets to go see the finale and just about everyone was a healthy scratch. The Rangers, on the other hand, defeated the Red Wings in their home finale and were "rewarded" with a matchup against the Penguins.
I'm hoping to see Washington and San Jose in the finals so one team will assuredly lose its "choker" label. Hoping for Tampa / Washington / San Jose / St. Louis to reach semifinals.

I have lived with the "Choker" moniker for the 25 years of Sharks existence ... the hardiest one to swallow came in a game 6 with the Dallas Stars, in the 4th overtime... 2008, in a series that had 4 overtime endings, of the 6 games ... That one hurt the most ...
but ... the ones that followed cemented the CHOKE Syndrome ... the SWEEP by the Blackhawks in the Western Conference Finals ... 2010 the Loss to the Canucks in the Western Conference Finals ... 2011
And now, The Sharks are looking poised once again ...
The outcome could be ... a chance for revenge against ... the DALLAS STARS or, a CHOKE against the Predators ...
which would cause a burnout my internal organs .. with excessive intake of FIREBALL consumption.
err ... wait ... I may have done that already ....
LOL

Honestly, as long as the Blues don't win, I'll be happy. Every other team left has some sort of reason for me wanting to see them win the Cup.
Let's Go Hawks! ...er...Not The Blues!
