You need to practice though. Maybe not for good shots but to learn about each course.

it's crazy how a few bad holes can really break your entire q-school score. I've played the practice tour on xb1 three times and shot between +1 and -27. I mailed it in a bit after a couple bad holes mid-tour in the +1 campaign, though.

Hi, new here and looking forward to playing for fun and competitive only in the aspect of measuring how bad I am and as a benchmark to see how much I can improve. I've only registered about 20 rounds with the game so far. I played through the Q-School courses and my first thought is to how excellent and challenging the courses are, hats off to the designers! It actually changed many of my views of the game since my few rounds had been on mainly the official courses where I was easily shooting 10 under or better without much thought. These Q-School courses had me struggling like my real game...missing farways, rolling through greens, and leaving 10+ foot 2nd putts. Awesome...I love it!
Needless to say, with my lack of experience I shot over par on 3, oddly enough -3 at Kodiak, and finished close to par overall. It leaves me a goal to maybe one day earn a tour card but considering my work schedule happily playing more casually on the Champions or whatever the lowest tour is.
Major kudos also to Doyley and his team for assembling something far more organized than me and some old TW friends did with a website a few years back. Any old TCC guys around here?

Just hit an albatross on the par 5 18th at Whispering River. Let's hope I can do that again when it comes to Q-School!

Finish in 8th or 190th its the same thing. I doubt anyone who's capable of a -27 will shoot +1 come tournament time. Its the average to below average who have to worry about their scores.
