mrooolaYeah it's totally expected that people won't agree. I always say it's my top list and not I'm not saying it's the best. The new Of Monsters and Men album was okay but it lacked some of the higher impact songs like My Head is an Animal and your bones. I saw Drenge when they supported Maccabees recently, they didn't disappoint. I'm glad you like the other bands especially Little Comets as they are local. I can't believe you didn't know about the Charlatans. They've been around since the mid 90s, check out there older stuff, they have quite a few classic songs. (North Country Boy, The Only One I know, One to Another and many more) I'm pleased you've taken the time to check the list out Ola.

Oh I knew who Charlatan was. Just not that they were still playing. Haven't heard anything from them since early 2000

Hey Dean, i'm not an indie-alternative guy, but you're doing a great job for those ones looking for new music, and that's very nice.

There are so many bands out there, most only have a small number of fans. Hopefully I can spread the word a bit. The scene is as strong as ever but just doesn't have the following it once did.

In Spain there are thousands of indie bands, you know the hipster movement here is very strong. I can pass you a few names (but nevertheless, I'm most to be trusted in metal and hip-hop, which I mainly listen to)

Thanks Pablo. I'll give them a try. I'm liking "Love of Lesbian" already My mates at school (25+ years ago) used to love Metallica so I do know a few of their songs. I always loved "Enter Sandman" and "Nothing Else Matters"

I always loved "Enter Sandman" and "Nothing Else Matters" I'm glad you like 'em. I can talk to a couple of good friends very alt-rock-indie-groupies . They, for sure know much more names than I do. I went to my first-ever concert to see metallica back in 1993. In this concert: I was just 14 years old. I loved it.

Dean, also you should give a listen to "Amaral". Not exactly indie, but they make very nice songs. Even for a metalhead like me

I will give them a try too. How old were you at the Metallica gig? Must have been exciting and scary in equal measure!

Hot New Bands The Family Rain, I'm expecting a new alum from these lads soon, I can't wait. This was one of my top CDs from 2014.
Albums Debut album released in 2014 called "Under the Volcano"
Songs Trust me... I'm A Genuis and Bincular
One you might have missed Ocean Colour Scene - part of bit pop in the mid 90's but still going now
Albums Their best by far for me is Mosely Shoals (1996). It's the perfect album for a summers day and should not be missed
Songs The Riverboat Song, The Day We Caught the Train, The Circle, Hundred Mile High City(Which I think was on Lock Stock or Snatch)
The Famous The Killers - Brandon Flowers has to be one of the best front men around. Amazing voice and his interaction with the crowd and stage presence has developed amazingly over the years. I've seem them/him 5 times amd every one has been a classic. Their music has become less edgy over the years and although I think they release songs I shouldn't like I can't get away from still loving them
Albums Hot Fuss(2004) - amazing debut album, I can't believe its been more than 10 years since it was released Sam's Town (2006) - this album was released when we were in Vegas (Their home town) It's always been a special album because of that but again, same amazing soms on here. We went ot see them in LA (The Wiltern?) but the lack of excitement from the US crowd was disappointing even though they were amazing. I thought Americans were the ones who get over exicted about things but when it comes to The Killers and maybe music in general you can't beat a good British crowd for craziness!!
Songs Mr Brightside(Now actually sick of it, it's one of the few indie songs you hear on a night out in the UK) When you Were Young Read My Mind Somebody Told Me Losing Touch
