Zero practice really showed this week.. If I remember (which I tried to forget) I finished this week with a pathetic -15.. Did not take advantage of the easy scoring rounds! That 3rd round was tough.. I've never played anything above 18 mph and I was seeing 22 mph consistently! Was it just me or was that wind always a crosswind or headwind lol oh well I'm hoping to avoid my first ever strike.. No clue if I will or not! Better practice up on skull island if I'm going to get back in those top 10s.

I had too retool my entire iron, short game and putting. I had lost all ability to compete. I think I got it figured out now, just those 6 foot hard breakers that are tripping me up lately, had one that caught the lip and rolled 12 feet past! Ugg.

Had a 80 something yard pitch shot and hit it a yard or two too hard and hit a ridge and ended up with a 100+ foot putt. Brutal. These low scores are pretty impressive I think.

All I can say about my opening two rounds is that they were a complete shambles! My 3rd promotion attempt on exemption and my 3rd fail. My first practice round was a 61 so I was ready to score well. It never happened, 65 and 69 puts me almost last!!!! Look at these stats - Driving accuracy 57.1% on both rounds. Most of the time it seemed to be a bad bounce or a wind misjudgement, the wind not having as much affect as expected. Maybe I even saw some ball squirt but no excuses. GIR - Rnd 1 94.4%(Only missed the 17th hole), Rnd 2 77.8% Putts - 30/31 2 Bogeys, the first of which was my 29th hole but just 8 birdies in 2 rounds. Longest putt, Rnd1 - 12.3ft, Rnd 2 9.4ft My analysis would be that I played some great shots out of the rough to find the green but I wasn't able to get it close enough to make the birdie putts. 2 more round to complete here and then onto Skull Valley.
I'm assuming that you can't get a strike when on exemption.
I had more of an 'oh well' attitude than my normal raging. It didn't make me play better but it did make me feel better.

Can you play these tournaments for fun despite not participating in it? Sorry, thought I'd best ask as I'm new!

Speaking of "fun", I tried my hand at the Royal Balwearie last night. It is the Euro tour course for the week. The last time I scored above par for four rounds in a row was Q-School in July. It makes any CC or even web.com course seem like child's play.
If I ever feel the need to complain about a CC course, I'll remember my time at the Royal Balwearie.

I played all four TGCT events this week. The Euro event was the toughest test of all, but probably the most rewarding. It pointed out my biggest weakness. The winner (its not official yet, but I am reasonably sure it will be so) and possible new #1 WGR player come next week lapped the field.

Was the winner a name like blueorfe or something like that? If I can recall, he won by a landslide.

65,65,74,74 for a total of -2 - my worst score for ages
lost interest in R3 & couldn't hit a barn door with my swing at the moment. As for the greens, it could be the grand canyon for the hole & I'd still miss.

Yey, I wasn't last I'm not sure what it was about this course, I didn't dislike it. Practice was good but it just didn't happen. Like you, my putting this week was awful - 88 putts in 3 rounds compared to 94 for all 4 rounds last week!
