Another solid round for me. -5 after 8 but that's the way it finished. I think I had the lowest number of putts ever. On the second 9 I kept missing the green but was close enough to chip and putt pretty much every time. I had a couple of close calls but no bogeys on the entire round. I have to be happy with that. I still have a chance at a top 25 but I'm now. I'm 8 shots behind the leader on CC-A so I've still got a chance of an exemption if I play two more solid rounds.

Good luck with your last two rounds Dean, I hope you get that exemption. I finished my last round today and managed to hit my goal of being under par. This is why I think small goals are so important, I did not play well, two over after three rounds so I gave myself a goal, what this did was bring excitement and tension to my last round. It made my last round as important to me as it would be for someone playing for a win. When I went two under after two, I jumped for joy. When I dropped a shot on the fourth, the groan could be heard on the entire street. When I was five under after eleven, my heart was beating with the possibilities. When I got the worst bounce I had ever gotten on thirteen, I stared at the screen for so long trying to figure out what happened. Back to three under, I needed par over that last five holes to reach my goal. I thought I was safe with birdie on the fifteenth, the tension came back after a poor seventeen. One hole to play, par needed and found myself in the bunker after my second shot. My bunker shot left me a ten foot putt for par, to me it felt like a putt to win a major and when it dropped, all was good with the world. If it had not, I would have said oh well, and thought about next weeks goal. So I missed my overall goal, avoiding a strike(unless everyone decides not to finish their rounds.) But by having a smaller goal, I was not just finishing my round for the sake of it. So set yourself goals, bring that tension and excitement into the game, make it fun, it's what games are supposed to be. Cya all next week where the adventure continues.

Cheers Dan. I'll know how I've done in a few hours.
Well done on achieving your goal and enjoying the round. That 4th hole is tricky. It's so hard to find the fairway. This can be a tricky course.
I always have goals and I always think every shot is important. The way the TGCT is ran, this feels like real like. Every place on the leaderboard is important.

Well all complete. Another solid 67 on my 3rd round. Currently 23rd place. I had a couple of bogeys cancelled out by an Eagle on the 10th The 4th round started slowly but picked up and all was going well until the 12th(I think) I can't work out the yardage when faced with a big drop in elevation and also a headwind. Anyone got any advice? I fired a shot way way short. Went from bunker to bunker and I think to bunker again. Managed to salvage a double bogey with a longish putt. That really set me back. I struggled after that but managed a couple of birdies. I finished with a 69, my worst round of the week. Without that double I have gone 68, 67, 67, 67 this week. I do seem to be finding some consistency.
At the moment CC-A leader, Philip Crampton is -25 after 3 rounds. My total of -17 means that to get exemption I need the leader of CC-A (Which looks like it will be Philip) to be no better than -32. It's going to be tight! Can he get a -9 or better?
