First I need to apologise to everyone that turned up to the press conference between myself and Kenny last night. None of us were expecting Chris from cc-c to turn up and act the way he did. I know no one could understand anything he said with that midlands accent of his but based on body language and gestures, I am sure it was something rude. So, you want in on this Chris, we'll bring it on.
On to round one. It started well with two birdies, I did have a eagle putt on the second but played it poorly but always happy to pick up shots. The third hole had perfect wind direction for another birdie chance but a 92 percent shot left way well short with a horrible second shot, I could not recover and dropped a shot. A poorly judged tee shot left me on the fourth left me in the heavy rough, I then went from bunker to bunker, I was in big trouble. My bogey putt had the right line but stopped one rotation short of the hole. To go from two under to one over was a real kick in the teeth and confidence dropped the way my ball refused to. After that I found myself battling against my mind more than the course, I started to over think everything, my swing was going all directions and I was not playing well. It was par all the way for the rest of the front nine and lucky to be that.
The back nine started with a birdie but I lost that shot on the very next hole. My birdie putt seemed to move in four different directions before rolling off the green, dropped shot. I missed a three foot par putt on the next hole, again it moved in a weird direction. My first round on cc-b was turning into a disaster. At least I came here with a clean slate after my demotion and can not demoted again for a few weeks! I recovered a shot on the 14th and should have been back to par on the 15th but my typical lip out stopped that. I parred the next two before I dropped another shot on the last with yet another putt one ball rotation from dropping.
Two over was a terrible start, I played as badly as I could have. I have three rounds to recover some of the damage done but yet again, I could not put my practice and causal play into my tour play. I have a battle on my hands already, one that I strangely am looking forward to, let's hope I can improve. Its advantage Kenny and Chris at the moment, it's up to you guys now. Good luck everyone, it's a fabulous course but it will bite if not careful, have fun out there.

Just got up here on a Sponsor's Exemption. I shot a 63 with 7-10 mph in round one. I hope I can move up to B soon. Good luck!

6 of the top 10 scores so far are CC-C exemption players! So glad I was on exemption last week when I actually shot a good first round! My favorite is my scorecard score (my first first round 62), my submitted score (my second first round 66), my hole by hole stats on the card (my first first round), and the stats at the bottom (my second first round). Then when looking at the player stats page, it seems to have randomly chosen which round it gets the stats from.

I was at -22 through three and then kept getting distracted and shot an even par final round. I had 7 birdies and 7 bogies. How's that for grinding?

Really scratching my head after the first 2 rounds. I don't think Jesus himself could shoot low enough in rounds 3 and 4 to keep me in CC-B.
Maybe everyone else has signed their cards wrong.... Here's hoping.
Nice course, play well everyone!!

64 - 61 first two rounds at 12/13 mph winds..then come back next day to play last couple rounds at 15/16 mph winds and apparently maths has changed ..the amount of times i was short of green was amazing , i kept going to replay to see if there a reason but unless a 15mph headwind is now multiplied by 3 to add 45/50 to 6 iron i completely flummoxed (see that used a nice word , and not the one i was using while playing )...last two rounds a 69 - 71 for a frustrating 23 under...
