Just want to make it clear I'm not bashing anyone who plays.if it is 9mph for 1 player it should be the same for another.the difference between 9pmh and 15mph is huge in my opinion.10 shots behind leader after 1 rnd = tournament over. If you're on PS4, I was probably the ghost who shot -16 the first round. I must inform you, that was the best round I've had (by far) since joining TGC Tours back in April. If I played 10 more rounds in those exact conditions, I doubt I could match that score. I understand your frustration, but if you've only played one round, the tournament is far from over. If you play stellar the final 3 rounds, shooting -10 to -14 each day, you could still finish well inside the top 10. Quick question: did you have gusts up to 15mph, or a steady 15mph wind the entire round? If those were steady winds, I agree, it could cost you a few strokes. I know that my first round stayed right around 10mph the whole time. Also, did you go to "play tournament" and play "tgctours.com-web-w33"... instead of just going to "play round"? Just checking, because the winds should be similar for everyone, now that the wind fix is in place. I know HB is trying to mimic real life conditions, so the winds on this game still have a bit of variance in direction and speed. That being said, before this week, I hadn't heard any reports of a 6mph difference... usually it's just 2-3mph. If it happens to other players as well, you might want to head over to the HB forums and run it by the developers? BTW, we did have an issue a week or two ago, where all platforms didn't have the exact same name, which made the winds different across platforms.

Yeah that's BS. I thought TGC fixed the winds and they were supposed to be the same for everyone? I had 15mph as well Just noticed your post after my previous reply. You guys should definitely head over to the HB forum and make them aware of the issue, as they're the folks who control the wind. There definitely shouldn't be a 6mph difference in tournaments if the wind fix is working. I can understand a 2-3mph difference, but 6mph is too much IMO. I wonder why they didn't just add the option to set wind speed/direction when creating a tournament? I guess that would make too much sense lol.

Just finished my first two rounds...-17. Very uneventful. Not knowing if the ball is going to jump left or right or go straight when you hit a good shot is just sucking all the fun and enjoyment out of the game. Then throw in a few sub 100% shots and it gets even worse. I only hit 50% of the fairways my first round. I guess with a stat like that though I shouldn't be complaining where I'm at after 2 rounds. Props to you guys throwing up them gaudy numbers. It's there for the taking if you hit the fairways. You all are obviously taking advantage of your opportunities.

I'm on ps4.the winds during all 4 ends were constantly the same (i think).i played the tournament the way you have said ridgerunner.it definitely needs to be addressed cause it seems I'm not the only 1 pissed off.

Wow that really sucks. I completely understand your frustration, especially since the wind fix is supposedly in place for everyone, to ensure situations like this are no longer an issue. Seems it's working for most people, but it's very odd that a few random players are getting much different winds. I think there's a "game bugs" section in the HB ps4 subforum, I'd definitely recommend starting a thread over there and see if they can address the issue.

OSWIN WITH NERVY END AS HE FIGHTS FOR TOP 10
Englishmen Luke Oswin shakily finished off his tournament this afternoon as he admitted to a bout of nerves coming down the home stretch in what was his third tournament since regaining his Web.com card.
"I knew I couldn't win when I peeked at the leaderboard but thought I had a strong chance of top 5. I shouldn't have looked as I then bogeyed two holes near the end. A poor finish really to what was a fairly decent tournament for me."
Oswin went into the final round sitting at -30 and with 4 straight birdies to start he was challenging second place on the PS4 leaderboard but although he ended poorly Oswin was undeterred,
"My game started to fall apart as I rushed my play looking for birdies. I feel I play better grinding away on tougher courses and fingers crossed a top ten can come and onwards and upwards onto next week. Seems I'm not going to make the top 10 on the money list unless a miracle happens so it's all good warming up for the finals at the minute. Hopefully I strike hot then and earn my pro card"

I played yesterday, CC tour guy here, but the winds where right where you said they where. So not sure what the issue was. I actually played against Luke's ghost and was pretty much at the same distance. So to me the wind was the same, as it should be, with slight gusts.

Yeah it sucks because there were some holes where the fairway was barely reachable when it was 10mph into the wind, at 15mph there was no chance of hitting the fairway.

Wonder if there was an issue where a tournament had a different name on a different platform? If even one character's capitalization is different the winds will be different... I was playing on PS4

Wind directions were the same 1st and 2nd round if I'm not mistaken. Granted I had to club down to hit a 3iron on one par 4 tee shot due to the wind of 15mph but hit the fairway I did and the green was still reachable.

Same here... even with gusts up to 16mph, there wasn't a fairway I couldn't reach with a South wind on the 2nd round. Granted, I missed quite a few fairways that round, but it was due to poor ballstriking on my part, not because of the wind. I missed even more fairways in the final round, which had the lowest winds for me. When I missed a fairway, my scoring really suffered on this course. I think I shot -16 and -14 when hitting fairways, and had to scramble to shoot -9 for the 2 rounds where I struggled with a hook off the tee.

I am SOOOO inconsistent. I have put together four good rounds in one week one time, and I won that week. This week was the extreme. Sucked it up on Thur/Fri to head to the weekend at a horrid -8 (total!). I barely made the cut (which when you have only 75 players is saying something).
Then BOOM, 62 (with 13 birdies) and 57 to finish. First two days -8. Last two rounds, -25. I need just a little bit of cash to crack the top 10 (12th now), it just hurts me in my soul.

FWIW, if you filter out the PGA players ahead of you that show on the list, you are actually in 9th place. That strong finish may help you out. Edit: Luke (Oswinner) has some nice tables for the Web $$$ list.
