Just for some perspective and, I think, some hope for all:
To get a feel for what the PGA guys are playing and to compare their courses to ours, I played one practice round and then the first three rounds of the PGA event this week. I'm at -13 after three, which would put me in a tie for 15th. I'm at -14 in our event this week after three rounds. Wind at 17 mph in the first round and finished even. Wind calmed to 10-12 in the next two and shot 64-65. Their greens are no tougher than ours (I thought they were actually easier).
This absolutely is good training and we're not that far away from the top level.

I think i managed -7 for the tourney. I was upset with myself, but it appears it was tough for most of us.
Begining to also think this new swing is not really helping me at all. Its like starting over.

Also. Why are we getting these courses lately? It'd be nice to play course that was a little fun maybe? We're not even close to being pga players. This is silly. This next course isn't any better
