Par - Par - Par - NINE UNDER. Private message me your secret mate as I need some of whatever you've taken today! No wasn't par-par-par I think it was +3, -1, -2 or something to that effect. The last round was played the following day. Maybe thsts the secret. But it was also 6-8 mph winds which I find easy enough to play in most of the time Well an average of par over three rounds followed by a -9. You must have been on cloud nine with that final round! I'm a sucker for getting my rounds done asap, regardless of how I'm playing. If things are going well then I think it's good to continue and keep that consistency up but when they're going bad it's the worst thing I can do. Even having a little 10-15 minute breather would be good but nope, I just plod on. Maybe one day I'll learn.....

Really nervous to play this tournament.. I actually have the low practice round on PS4 with a -13 in about 10 mph winds but I probably played as well as I ever have. Hopefully I can string together 4 good rounds for this one since last week was ugly.

Can somebody post the winds per round. Thanks. Top of my head, it was something like 12-13, then 14-15, then about 10, then 5-6 for the last round.

Must admit I never play practice rounds, mainly because I know I'll only end up getting frustrated that I inevitably shot a better score than in the tournament itself! Anyway, I actually quite liked this course and the challenge it presented, although trying to play it with a PS4 controller turned the whole thing into a bit of a lottery! I'd be quite interested to see what my GIR stats were, as those shots that didn't fall into 92% territory mainly just skated off the marble greens instead. But like I said, nice course and one I'd like to try again if HB ever fix the PS4 swing issues. Uberanto, I'm on the PS4 and I'm not having issues. The most recent update simply requires you push a little harder on follow through. I get 100 percent on 90-plus percent of my swings. That hasn't worked for you? Yeah, I tried pushing the thumbstick harder, and for a while like you I was hitting 100% about 90% of the time, but my accuracy suffered as a result. So then I figured I'd rather have the ball on the fairway/green rather than in the rough so stopped 'flicking the stick' quite so much. All this meant was that whilst I'm OK with the drives being a bit shorter, not hitting the approach shots how I plan them is the real killer for me. Am still going to play the tournaments, as I still enjoy them, just not as much as I used to. Hopefully the swing fix will come sooner rather than later though.

The strength of the winds and, in particular, the direction in which they were blowing, made the first two rounds brutal. I don't complain about the courses, especially since we all have to play the same conditions, but there are a few holes where you literally tap the ball to get it moving and if it misses the cup it rolls 7-12 feet past. That is really tough.
Shot 68-70 and I'm really looking forward to getting out there for the final 36 holes in calmer conditions. Major kudos to anybody who completes the first 36 double digits below par.

Hey, the rivalry lives -- as you said, sometimes a course just is not compatible with your game. There is always next week. Besides, I have 36 holes in which to blow this up!

Well, played the last two rounds in 13-under, so I finished:
68-70-64-67 = -19
Curious to see where that finishes. Those winds and greens made for a mentally exhausting four rounds of golf. Good challenge, which I like.
Good luck to all with rounds left to complete!

74-72 in first two rounds.
The two greens with the ~2 foot steep ridge in the middle kind of ruin this course for me. Not really sure how to putt over the ridge, and we aren't allowed to chip on the green. Greens are just tough on this one. More than a few missed 5-8 birdie putts for me.
