Played a practice round here with the -9 ball as my ghost ball. There is no way the green firmness was the same when that round was posted. I carded a +1(73) which I was very happy with..but I think that -9 was carded before the course was tweaked.

Had to be so conservative on those greens, both on the approach shots and the putts. More practice needed...

The little putts are going to determine the winner this week. Crazy little wiggles

I had trouble reading the greens.. Some 6-10 footers seemed to show hardly any break and they broke 6 inches.. Others showed big time break and dang near went straight.. This is the first course I have seen this on.. Usually the read is pretty close to what I am seeing.. Maybe my eyes are messed up or something..

You can only edit and give it a new name. The course is being chewed up by the better players. I bet -30 to -40 or more wins for cc-a croud.

Good for them..last time I checked I was in CC-D This is a tough course for CC D and below...just read through the comments. We shouldn't have to endure the same courses better players "chew up". Is that fair? One could argue the more you play the better you get..for sure its true..but also the more you struggle the more you put the game on the shelf and into the recycle bin. I've carded anywhere from +1 to +8 on this course...is that where I should land?...don't know. Isn't the "TOUR" course a re-edit of your original course with "TOUR" added to the name as a new course?

I think it'll be closer to -25 at the very best. Played a couple of rounds tonight in stronger winds than yesterday (13mph+ and blowing in all directions) and couldn't go better than -4. It's the back 9 as ever. Seriously tough holes. Honesty, if we get 18mph winds in the face, the top players will struggle with breaking par.

It is the same course with rocks removed from around a couple of the greens and OB was added. The conditions (Firmness) is identical. I was responding to the -9 being shot on the course before the edit.
All versions have seen very low scores. I expected the course to allow low scores given wide fairways and huge soft greens. At the moment, -11 is the record for PC, and -9 for the tour version. I had a bogie and shot -8 on the tour version myself. I have no idea for consoles. Had this course been selected for the PGA, the moaning would be it is to easy.
Only tips I can give to play the course is to play with patience, the greens and fairways are huge. There are easy birdies out there, albeit and by design not on every hole. Some holes you just need play for par. The par 5's are risk reward, the better option is shooting short and going for the flop on approach, but they are reachable and depending on wind 2 of them with irons. In addition since the slider split update, in case you did notice, bouncing the ball on to the green from the rough or the fringe is a very poor strategy, always try and land on the green and let it rollout a little. Problem with landing it short in the rough is the ball will take a rocket bounce and continue to rollout forever. If you land on the green the rollout is significantly less.
I sincerely hope this helps, I did not ever intend to build an impossible course. I still do not think I did. Watch Jimgem play the course
I realize we are not Jim, however watch how he plays the course and the strategy he uses to go around a course he has never even stepped foot on before or since. What impresses me most and it is something I'm trying to incorporate lately into my game, is to not rely on the green dots as much as I used to but rely on the grid lines and look at the hole from a few angles. Sometimes on many courses the dots lie, but the lines do no lie as much. The dots may be hardly moving but the lines cutting across in front of you are jagged, that is a very good indication the dots are lying. Well not lying, but that is another story.

It is a great course and I am looking forward to playing the tourney on it.. I love the layout.. I also think its best to play the par 5's with a wedge to the green.. There are some tricky little putts on it but everyone will have to deal with those.. Im sure the CCA and CCB guys will do really well on it.. Heck, many of the CCD guys will be well under par on it..

Nice course boomboom. This is actually one of my favorites. I hope we don't have big winds. Your post makes it seem like we will. The greens play like Bent grass. Fast as can be downhill and fairly slow against the grain. The more I play the more break I add to the putts. I know I will be cursing at some point on the greens. Should be fun

Just shot +3 on the course. Was -2 after 9, and the wheels fell off with a triple on the back.

I've played at least 10 rounds on it and have yet to break par with a +1 73 being my best score which I've carded a couple of times.
