I think it's a terrific course. One of my favs. Greens too quick for the CC tour though imo. The week after course (Hao'Mikau) is far harder though. CC has defo had harder courses (other than Hobble Creek) than I think it should be getting recently. That's my opinion anyway. When you take into consideration the majority of players in CC-D CC-E and CC-Z are just grasping the game and for the most part are relatively new players to this game(although there are some exceptions), the speed of the greens on this course don't really match the playing field. In my opinion PGA speed greens should be allotted for the superior players..not us CC scrubs. Even if the greens had a bit of hold it would make the faster putting speeds more tolerable....but I can hit into the front fringe with an 8 iron and wind up rolling right off the back because there is no bite and the greens are like landing one on a runway. With this course..and the prevailing constant 10-15mph winds it doesn't allow for most of us to gain any confidence. Sure nobody wants to see 50's every round, but I also wanna be rewarded when I throw a dart at the pin. It's disheartening to throw a pitching wedge right at the stick..and have it spin right back off the green because of the slope and green speed. Have wind...have fast greens...have no bite...but not all 3. I think that's why maybe a two-tier system wouldn't actually be such a bad idea. With the exception of a couple of the top players on CC-D, who will no doubt be in CC-C or higher in no time, there's a definite difference in skill level between the first three flights and the second three. These latest courses are of Q-School level, which is meant to separate the good from the not so good so to have to play on similar courses after Q-School must be a little disheartening.

My 2 cents.
We are in CC D. Which means we are not very good. What is unreasonable about having even par be a good score for a round?
I golf a lot in real life, and when I make birdie I am PUMPED. This game is not EARoryGolf where you shoot low 60s every round regardless of conditions. It's as close to a sim as we're going to get.
If a course is hard, accept that. Adapt. Figure out how to beat it. If you shoot an 80 in practice that will make your 75 in Round 1 feel that much sweeter.

Adaptation is not the issue.

I don't know what to think of the round I just shot at this course. 6 Pars, 6 Birdies, 6 Bogies. If you stay below the pins you are going to do fine, but if you hit pin high, you are off the back and making bogie.

I don't know how to feel about this course. You definitely have to play to specific parts of the green on certain holes. I think some of the pins are in terrible spots. A bit too gimmicky for my taste. They are on a lot of subtle ridges. Where a missed putt can lead to a 15-20 footer coming back. A bit too "tricky" IMO.

This is the first tournament I'm registering for since buying the game 2 weeks ago. I've had a blast playing and Q-School tore me up. Just went through my first practice round and went +4 76. Hit decent approach shots throughout the round, but the severe breaks on the greens got the best of me. Looking forward to joining the field and playing the tourneys!

Given that the winds will probably be similar, this is going to play really tough. I just couldn't seem to get the pace of the greens and i agree some of them were in tough spots.

I am really struggling here now. Between trying to change to using an XB1 Controller vs M/KB, changing to Win10, and now the Winds have gotten worse, I can't seem to break 80 now on this course. I am afraid to even start scoring for real.

I will have the house all to myself, which will be a relief after having all 7 Grandkids there this weekend. That probably didn't help me golf game either

I just went through Q-School and got into CC-D, so I'm doing the practice tour now since I'm too late to register for the actual tour. +9 on Rd. 1, looks like it will be a tough road

The greens are absurdly dumb in this course, not fun in any way whatsoever.
