Be forewarned...the greens are like putting on a tile floor. Lightning fast and it's rare to get a straight one. The CC conspiracy continues You're not kidding. I get a giur and 3 putt. Not to mention the 17mph wind. Why does every tour have to have winds that aren't typical of normal golf. Maybe one day out of four has high winds but I'm tired of the artificial difficulty. I have rarely played in real life in a raging wind. I use to golf upwards of 3 times a week and NEVER routinely saw 15-20 MPH winds. This is suppose to be a true golf simulator, but the wind in every tournament just isn't true to life. Yes tropical courses will have winds...but not 4 days straight. There doesn't have to be a cross wind on every hole. I love this game and it is by far the best golf simulator I have ever played, but a tip to the tournament organizers....it's no fun when you're putting into holes that are always on a side slope. If I hit the green and knock it 6 ft from the pin...I SHOULD be rewarded...not have to endure a 45 degree sweeping right to left putt for birdie. Rant Over.

If you guys are on a console would you mind taking a screenshot or something?
I had not yet played the tour version, but I just did, (PC) and found maybe 3 pins where the slope around the hole was challenging, but not yellow, 2 were on par 5's and 1 on a short par 4 where the approach shot is a pitch. I shot -8 and I'm far from a good player. Ok course knowledge and all maybe. I also found several, more then half the putts were almost flat from 20 plus feet from the hole. Also 2 of the par 5's are reachable in 2 easily,<---If you wish to take that route on) most of the par 4's are under 400 yards and all the par 3's are iron shots and the fairways are the widest I have seen here in a long time and all the doglegs can be carried with only a slight wind at your back.
I know for a fact the rangers went through this and rejected the multi-pin as being to difficult for CC tour, but I heard no reports of the slopes around the holes being 45 degrees or protruding etc..
There is nothing more I can do, I give you short holes with wide fairways and big greens after that you are on your own.
I'm sorry some of you are not enjoying your time here.

I think it's a terrific course. One of my favs. Greens too quick for the CC tour though imo. The week after course (Hao'Mikau) is far harder though. CC has defo had harder courses (other than Hobble Creek) than I think it should be getting recently. That's my opinion anyway.

OK...so which layout are us CC guys suppose to be playing. I played the Tour Day 1,2,3,4 and those pins are tough. Which course is it the CC's will play in the tournament. Same pins each round??

It will not be a multi-pin event, play Thousands Islands Golf and CC (Tour) No days or pins etc. The multi-pin was deemed to tough.

-1 after day 1 but the winds are brutal as were the greens, very hard to stick it close to the pin

Just a tip for playing this course. Do not allow any hole to cause you to rage finish. Yes there are a few tough holes, however there are eagles and birdies a plenty out there. Patience will be rewarded handsomely.
The way some of these greens were designed, the "reward" better be Kate Upton and the girls from "Gossip Girl" sans apparel in the sauna with a six pack of Guinness when I finish the round.

Nothing wrong with the course at all with the exception of the difficulty and if the following course is even harder then holy moly. My best mate joined TGCT (CC-D) at Hoodoo Hills, which was far from easy for the Challenge Circuit and sadly, as the courses seem to be getting more difficult it's putting him off the game. I think when you combine some of these courses with the tough winds, it really does put people off. Maybe even the Challenge Circuit should be two-tier so CC-A through to CC-C have different, slightly more difficult courses than those on CC-D to CC-Z. The exemption rule would need revising mind given it would be a easier for those on D-Z to get within 10 shots of the worst winning score on A-C.

Indeed Paul. My mate joined two weeks ago. Was close to quitting through q-school and then he's +24 thru 2 rounds at Loa Pali (which is actually nowhere near as hard as Hoodoo, Thousand and Hao'Mikau) he even messaged me saying he might DNF. The courses are great but more Web.com I think. Slow down the greens speeds at thousand Islands and it will be perfect for CC, plus multi-pin may then be an option.

I wanted to quit after R3 of Loa Pali. Looking at that CC-B leaderboard after two rounds, seeing myself in 2nd place only to know I'm gonna drop by 15-20 places when the R3 results are published is killing me!!! LIttle tip for you mate (though you probably know this). NEVER let your wife do the ironing in front of you when you're playing a tournament. It's scarred me for life!!! Yep those green speeds really are a killer. It will be very very difficult to get within a few feet of some of those holes. It is a nice challenge though and I'm sure the majority of us don't want to see scores in the high 50's or very low 60's every week. Good luck at Thousand Islands mate, unless of course you get your exemption to the Web, which is looking promising!

CC has defo had harder courses (other than Hobble Creek) than I think it should be getting recently. That's my opinion anyway. When you take into consideration the majority of players in CC-D CC-E and CC-Z are just grasping the game and for the most part are relatively new players to this game(although there are some exceptions), the speed of the greens on this course don't really match the playing field. In my opinion PGA speed greens should be allotted for the superior players..not us CC scrubs. Even if the greens had a bit of hold it would make the faster putting speeds more tolerable....but I can hit into the front fringe with an 8 iron and wind up rolling right off the back because there is no bite and the greens are like landing one on a runway. With this course..and the prevailing constant 10-15mph winds it doesn't allow for most of us to gain any confidence. Sure nobody wants to see 50's every round, but I also wanna be rewarded when I throw a dart at the pin. It's disheartening to throw a pitching wedge right at the stick..and have it spin right back off the green because of the slope and green speed. Have wind...have fast greens...have no bite...but not all 3.
