Yup. +5 in r3 in 17mph wind and +3 in r4 with 19mph. I found the course tough enough with little wind so that was just mean to me. Yet to play rnd 3...But omg its soooo much better like this. I dunno, but I felt alot of pressure on the 1st,2rnds.In a sick kinda way...I'm looking forward to the last rounds lol. Is a different game now & all the better for it.

Scores will be way lower to. As I mentioned earlier I had tie for 10th with -13 the one week we had wind when -13 after 2 wouldnt even make cut some weeks.. I never "wind waited" for little or no wind but I would not play my rounds in 15+mph wind when I knew someone else were playing in 2mph. So I would come back and play if it was 5-12ish. Sometimes lucked out and got less but now its nice to want to play and be able to without worrying about others getting easier conditions.

I understand the harvest course on PGA and tropical course on CC being high average winds but I'm surprised your winds are that high playing in the desert. Is the desert theme windy? I thought it was generally calm. Could be wrong though. Love that we all have equal winds now but do you think the average wind may be a slight bit too high? Also, I've played this course before. Great course but narrow fairways in places. That wind must have hurt haha. Good luck to you all.

I've played this course before. Great course but narrow fairways in places. That wind must have hurt haha. Good luck to you all. The fairways weren't the problem for me. Only had a handful of shots into the rough, but I played a lot of safe shots from the tees. I just couldn't get my approaches close enough to birdie, especially when I had headwinds. Kept leaving 'em short. The farther you get from the cup, the more double breaks and varying degrees of break you see.

I finished -6 for the tournament, I had a good first round then I just hung on after that. It was strange the fourth rounds had slightly lower winds but I put it in the bunkers more. I also burned the hole on at least 7 putts from over twenty feet if they had dropped it would have been a different story.

Ouch! Brutalized by the wind. And I burned so many edges I should be arrested for arson. -4 through round 2. Ugh.

jsizzle727, That may make the cut this week. The scores will be higher if what I saw on PS4 is an indication.

Does anyone feel an extra bit of excitement this week because of the wind update and everyone playing the same conditions? I do. Not trying to hijack the thread, just wanted to say that because I have been waiting for this.
Wes, Drake, Andy good first rounds. It seems that Drake is back from vacation and ready to kick butt. Keep it up my good man.
Ayako, you will not be the only one that the wind bites this week!
After a decent first round -7, I found trouble at every turn in rd 2, made 3 bogies and struggled to a -4. Should make the cut but unless I get 'in the zone' for the final two rds, I won't be contending this week.
Good luck guys and girl.

It's pretty clear several people were though. So now it's finally an even playing field.

My "wind report" went as follows: R1: 15 R2: 15 R3: 16 R4: 9 Would be interested to know if most had the same winds across all platforms.

I am playing on an exemption this week. I just played the first round (-7) on XB1 and my wind was 13 mph... Sitting on #1 Tee in Round 2 with a 15 mph.
I will update as I play
R1: 13 R2: 15 R3 ... R4 ...

Judging by the replies i am in trouble. -10 after 2. Same here! And I thought -10 would be good enough for top 10 after 2 rounds in those winds... guess not :-)

I think -10 is safe to make the cut. I hope so anyway because I am only -11.

Its funny, sort of, to hear so many people throughout this site complain about their golf swings. It sounds like real life golfers.
