Just a quick follow up to my last question, what was the end result for my US Open Course at Briarcreek CC? I didn't get any notifications about anything but it disappeared from my designer list. Thanks! It wasn't approved. I didn't see any notes in the reviewer thread, but I can follow up on it if you wanted.

Yeah that’d be great. I didn’t toggle the rough to the fairway but I mean there aren’t really any unfair holes and it has a 4.5 star rating. Pretty surprised not getting approved to be honest.

The in-game ratings aren't considered in the review process at all, as they realistically don't mean anything significant. I'm sorry to say that this one doesn't meet the technical standards for tour courses, as there's sculpting and surfacing issues throughout. There's nothing egregious in terms of playability issues I saw in my quick look, but we receive a fair number of courses daily for a limited number of tour events, so courses that play well and have a decent amount of polish are going to get picked over those that are missing some of those elements.

Oh ok, I see it now that you point it out. Thanks for checking up on that!

There's a fair amount of resources/tutorials around if you're looking to brush up on how to use the designer tools and such, as well as a community that's always happy to help if you ask. There's also some good examples of "major difficulty" courses from the ongoing major design contest if you're looking for some inspiration.

Steppe Lodge Country Club. Not accepted
Far too many unnecessarily blind tee shots. Every fairway is wide open and every green is massive. Many bunkers are stock shape and don’t come into play due to the huge fairways and greens

My latest course, Landlar Delta Village, was accepted and deemed "Tour Worthy". Thanks for that. Just wondering - what are the chances that it actually gets used on the tour?

Congrats on the tour worthy publish! It will be kind of a crapshoot if it gets on tour as there are a ton of courses being submitted right now. I can say you really should make a post in the completed courses forum. Include a detailed write up about the course and post pictures from the best locations with the best lighting. That will increase your chances a lot as the tour schedulers look there for tour spots.

But, being the old man that I am, I'm really not sure how to go about getting pics on here. I guess I could just write about it and see what happens.

There is a course photographer, karma4u, he takes pictures for the website and will post pictures for designers on here. You can ask him in your post. It might take a few days

Taseko Mountain - not approved This one was pretty close, but just had a couple too many issues that pushed it over that line for me. Lots of surfacing issues, with no real rhyme or reason to rough cuts, bunkers, etc. Played the first couple holes and had a few "burnt edges" where surfaces run into the background texture and an illegal pin. With a little polish, this could be a pretty solid course.
