Fallen Leaves GC - not approved This one is really close, but just suffers the "death by 1000 cuts" syndrome. It doesn't do anything terribly wrong, but it makes a lot of the typical rookie mistakes with sculpting, surfacing, planting, playability, etc. Lots of great ideas, with a little more practice/polish, this would make the cut.

Lone tree dunes - not approved
Generally nothing wrong with the aesthetics on this course but way too many blind shots, awkward hole layouts, massive greens and grass planting overrunning the fairway in some areas.

Honduran Falls - not approved
Major sculpting issues, bunkers and sheer faces were obvious ones, but really, it's all facets of sculpting. Typical learning curve here; keep practising.

Duffers Canyon - not approved.
Major sculpting issues. The plot sculpting is very jagged, every approach shot was completely blind and bunkers were either far too deep or pan flat. Were this borderline, the lack of planting wouldn't help either.

Osprey Bay GC - not approved
Major sculpting issues, particularly with bunkers. Also, green sizes are off (the first was tiny). As an aside, I get that it was intentional, but the complete lack of planting didn't help. Minimalist planting would have helped, this was just a lot of empty space.

Wallaby Creek GC - not approved
Major sculpting issues again with lots of unintentional blindness. In stark contrast, this time, the first green was giant but pancake flat - a happy medium between this and Osprey Bay would be ideal. Watch the video below for an explanation of those issues.

Black Hole Valley - not approved
Creative as hell, but only one pinset and teeset made this a non-starter. Additionally, the giant planting would have put me off and not sure that it would be appropriate for Tour usage.

Thx for reviewing. I’ve designed a bunch of courses now and still seem to be struggling with bunker sculpting. Do you mind pointing out some examples for me so I know what to improve on?

Bunkers do tend to take a while - there's a steep learning curve and you are far from the only one. Main thing for me would be to get an idea of what the high side and low side should be and making the high side flow naturally back into the fairways / greens. First on Osprey Bay stuck in my memory as a) having a wild shape, which is hard to sculpt and b) having lots of high sides, meaning that the bunker naturally falls in on itself. I'd suggest looking at a couple of tutorials - apologies if you've seen these before - and also playing a few top courses and really noting how the bunkers look. Try taking a screenshot and trying to imitate them: Also, any MattF design stream is usually good - can follow him on twitch at Hope that helps!

Abel Castle - not approved Only one pin set, so not eligable for the database. Took a quick look at the first tee anyways, seems to have some surfacing/sculpting problems as well.
